Teleporting and lucid problems

So, recently I've had problems to teleport where I want in my lucid dreams. For example, this night I dreamed that I was in the gymnastic-hall at school. I wanted to teleport to a prison(a dream goal, sort of) so I span around thinking about the prison location. It dint work, and I almost woke up. After that I tried to go through a door thinking about the prison again. I didn't work. So any tips on how to teleport? I was convinced that it would work, so it isn't that...

And, after a very short period of time, I lost lucidity. This have happened very frequently in my lucid dreams. Some tips on how to keep it?

Normally when I want to go to a different place, I make it come to me instead. I focus on the location I want to go and it forms around me. For example, I was swimming in the ocean and wanted to go into outer space so I visualised that in my mind and then the water was replaced with a vast expanse of emptiness and I was drifting in space.

I would try a different approach, for me, it's easier to just go outside, and either fly or rip a hole through the air to get to my desired location. For me it's almost impossible to teleport or travel anywhere. Hope me experiences help!

Spinning to change locations will only work if you focus greatly on what the new location will look like, visualizing it and fully expecting it to be there. Otherwise, you'll end up destabilizing the dream. If you're inside, it's best to simply open a door and expect said location to be on the other side. You have to visualize the place well, but there's no danger of waking up because of destabilization. If you find the door method isn't working, maybe revise your strategies. When you open a door from your bedroom to the hallway, for instance, you know where the walls are and what part of the hallway you're going to walk into; apply this to the location you want to travel to. If you're in a room and want to open a door into a classroom, for instance, don't expect to end up walking into the middle of it. Instead, expect (and visualize) yourself to come in from the side, where the wall is.

I tend to use dream spinning in a much slower and observant manner, just to see what's around me in order to stabilize the dream.

If you want to try using something else as a portal, you could walk through a mirror. Also, one time when I intended to create a portal, I drew a big circle in the air and it turned into one. I've only done that once, and I wasn't trying to get anywhere in particular (ended up in a random location) but you could give something like that a try.

I've had a few random LDs, and in one of them I teleported, and essentially all I did was close my eyes really hard, imagine the location I want to be, and open them. Of course, you need to be without a hint of doubt that it'll work, otherwise it won't, but I find it quite easy. Hope this helped.

Closing one's eyes to teleport can be a rewarding technique, but just a word of advice for anyone who wants to try this - for some people it can be a relatively tough thing to do, since it involves ignoring the dream scene around you, and what's around you requires constant attention. If you ignore your surroundings for too long, you could end up destabilizing the dream. It helps to focus on what you want the new scene to be like as soon as you close your eyes. :)

Hi. Tonight I actually made it!! I was the seed teleportation technique that worked. I pulled a silver seed out of my pocket, planted it on the ground, and poof! I was in New York ( the location I wanted to go) Yay!
