I dont if this is normal but i always start off in a big empty room with one chair that i'm sitting on and every time i say or shout a colour the whole room changes to that colour it always gets it 100% i wonder if the room changes to a colour that i say and it does something else will that mean imma about to have a nightmare? :shock:
Tell it to change to a new colour you've never seen and see what happens :p

My dreams always start in random locations, never in one specific place. However, I've noticed most of them take place indoors.
I either start out at home, school or somewere random that hast to do with the plot line of the dream.

Scary things only happen if you expect them to happen. Plus, even when they do come, it never really affects you, it's just like a video game. Another plus side is your mental thinking isn't very bright during dreams, so you probably won't think about that stuff in the first place, but on the bad side, crazy things will be normal for you like a flying pig.

Okay, here is the weird thing about my lucid dreams vs. my normal dreams.
In a normal dream, I start out in a random location that pertains to whatever story is going on through my subconscious.
When I have a lucid dream, my dream usually always starts where I last laid down to sleep - so in my lucid world, it's like I just woke up from a normal dream.
It's like my mind knows and is preparing me to awaken. I should start doing reality checks every time I wake up now!

I almost always start on a battlefield or in a no-where land (a place that has no real defining features and you don't just "know" where it is)
I'm usually in a realistic place, like my neighborhood or some other geographical location that I could actually see myself being at in real life. Rarely a fantastical place, though.
If you change the color of the room, your mental expectations will make the dream do what you're expecting to happen. This means that if you believe black will summon dark creatures with scary teeth, it probably will. Likewise, if you think the color pink will do that, it will too. Don't worry about changing the color, even - you could always turn around to one of the wall and expect a door to be there, leading you out somewhere.
expectations are key in lucid dreaming.
thrown into another world (fantasy or not depends), with different parents (or not at all), friends, and knowledge,
which my mind happily (more like weirdly) accepts...
leaving me confused every time I wake from it.
Usually I never remember the beginning of my dreams, i'm already dreaming then BAM!
