LOL don't be silly. I quoted you b/c I thought that was hilarious.
I'm a freefaller but I push my right knee towards my head. That's the only way I can fall asleep without my shoulders to hurt when I wake up. Only my back sometimes hurt in the morning.
I normally start out spooning my husband's back (Yearner) but during the night I turn over and end up Foetus.
Im soldier and foetus (used to just be foetus but lately I cant lay on my side because my heartbeat really agnoys me) dont ask why :D
I sleep somewhat like a freefaller.
I usually try the Soldier first but I always end up in some other position. I guess I'm a little bit of everything except the log.
On my side (either one, usually switches every 2 hours) with a pillow in between my knees
Out of the ones that are there, foetus, soldier, if I don't go to sleep for a long time like for 3 days or so, freefaller. Cause then it doesn''t even matter.
If I can't get to sleep, every position.
Freefaller/Yearner
I'm a Starfish sleeper. Always....I can't even sleep any other way.
I think I have some very common sleeping positions. One is very much like freefaller, but with my hands under my pillow to make it feel better. Also often in the way that picture shows. I think this is the most comfortable position and it's easiest for me to get relaxed this way.
Another one is where I sleep on my side or my front and have my hands a bit like in foetus but even nearer my body. Sometimes in foetus position, though quite rarely. It feel really safe when I sleep like this.
Sometimes if I'm really tired or listening to music while going to sleep I can even fall asleep in soldier position. Sleeping on my back doesn't feel right for me though.
Has anybody been doing a tally on how any of these positions correlate to Lucid Dreaming or good Dreaming in General? It appears that there is no particular benefit or penalty in sleeping in any of these ways.
There is a slightly old thread around about the 'Lion' position...
searching... Sleep on your Right side
I am sort of a mixture of freefall and foetus.. on my right side.
Definitely the log...except I sleep on my stomach and both my arms are beneath my body. I like to be nice and compact on one side of the bed...in fact one half of my bed is constantly covered in clean laundry that I'm too lazy to fold.
I'm a Freefaller for the most part, but I do occasionaly sleep in the foetus position.
I think that whole personality can tend to be a load of bullshit, a person can sleep in a position because he is unconfortable with the bed or he is cold or something or she just feels like it.. but well in that case im the log sometimes, but with my arms down the pillow...
Mostly a yearner, but sometimes a Freefaller -- sometimes an upside-down Freefaller, too! :P
I'm not comfortable in any position... sad I know... :P I think they'd need make a new type of thing to sleep on... since I move around at night... well... before I fall asleep anyways.. I go through most of the positions(freefall, yearner, and soldier). Even though I always wake up Yearner style so I assume that's the one...
yeah I agree with ya on this. My personality is quite different, than whats displayed here.Quote:

I sleep in the log the yearner the soldier and the starfish all in one night, never tried the foetus before, seems a bit odd to curl up your legs
i fall asleep on my side but only seem to get lucid or wild on my back.
Cool Im the exact same way. Sometimes I sleep on my side once in a blue moon but I only get Lucid and Wilds when sleeping on my back..Quote:

I was wondering when somebody would consider this correlation. I had suspected as much but did not want to say anything.
Increasing one's percentages maybe as easy as simply changing one's sleeping position.... or as difficult as changing one's sleeping position.
I've found that I can easily nap on my back, but that a good night's sleep is a 'free-fall'.
