      Im very confused

in my last couple dreams i was able to change the surroundings and spawn a car. but it wasnt vivid or very real. u might think i didnt realize i was dreaming but in the same dream i keep asking someone if i was dreaming and this girl was saying yes but i didnt become lucid. idk if you are getting what im saying...its like i do all the stuff you would do in a lucid but im not lucid while doing it. i dont know what i need to do. and suggestions?

So basically it sounds like you have control over the dream but you're not lucid. That sounds normal, don't worry. Just remember to be aware of what's around you throughout the day, and it will eventually carry down in your dreams. Keep working at becoming lucid, and you'll get there!

If you knew you were dreaming and just had poor control, yeah, like Mancon said, that's normal and just takes practice.
Or did you mean that you didn't feel like you actually knew you were dreaming? That's normal too before actually having a real LD -- dreaming about subject matter (in this case LDing) that seeps into our minds all day and then we make dreams out of at night. I mean, when the girl was saying you were dreaming did you believe it or was it just part of the dream plot?

Lucid dreams tend to be easier to remember than non lucid dreams but it is still possible to forget them.

This happened to me SO much when I started lucid dreaming. It's a normal thing, but when you are going throughout the day and possibly day dreaming about having a lucid dream (like I do). Just re affirm with yourself that it is a dream! Sometimes we tend to loose sight of that and just more imagine it as a playground for the mind to do whatever it wants. Just really make sure you know that it isn't real life. Once you have really made this clear it should help you out.

To answer your recent question, lucid dreams to me seem to be a lot easier to remember since they are fun and I really want to look back on it and remember it. Since they seem to be more important, you will have an easier time remembering them.

Keep at it! Good luck sir!

Maybe you should do a reality check or something to confirm you were dreaming.
It seems you weren't really sure, if it was a dream or not. Don't worry you'll know when you get your first one.
Ah, the joy of having first LD (you'll know when it happens.)
      Just keep practicing.
