Almost my first lucid!

So I just woke up like 20 minutes ago, and decided to come here and let you guys know what just happened!

I was dreaming that I was in my kitchen with a few family members. I noticed that the fridge door was open and there was a crap ton of toast. Now the thing with my fridge and probably most of the new fridges, is they beep after being open for a certain amount of time. So I started asking myself a few questions "Why hasn't it started beeping?" "Why do I have more toast then costco?" "How will I put Nutella on all these pieces of toast?" and then I knew I was dreaming.

I quickly did a reality check and I had 6 fingers which was awesome although 7 would have been more awesome.

So everything around me started to wobble and I'm like "alright I'm not gunna waste my time making Nutella sandwiches" so I decided to attempt to bang the girl from 90210. Before warping to a setting which I failed to do, my mom who was one of the DC's put her hand on my forearm and I woke up.

This just shows that my mom is always bothering me, even in my dreams.

So I think that what I might have done wrong is closed my eyes to think about a new setting. My question is What is the best way to change the setting, like the place that you are?

I also noticed that the room was a little dark and it was kind of creepy. Let's say I wanted to go from the dark kitchen to the beach. How would I go about doing this?

There's a lot of ways to change the dream setting. You can just use your mind and imagination directly to transform the whole place immediately. Or you can just shout "Egypt!" if you have a large confidence in yourself. Another one is finding a door and thinking for yourself what might be behind that door. You can also search for the place, like you started in a desert, yet you want a green jungle, why not search for it(shouting for its name while searching might help). An uncommon way is asking a Dream Character to point out the direction of the setting you want. Spinning might help too, just spin and while spinning, think of the setting you want and, stop. There's a lot of techniques out there to change the dreamscape my friend. use your creativity. If none of this works, try contacting any of the Dream Guides(title given to a person expert in LD) in this List . Hope this helps :)
