Is the Unconscious always Benevolent.

What I mean is. Is it our protecting force. Mine for example won't let me kill anyone in a dream (lucid or otherwise). We are all "tempted " in waking life into crossing that forbidden borderline. What worries me however, can the boundaries become "blurred" by getting that much closer to one's deeper inhibitions. ps. Ever thought what it would feel like to stick your hand into a toaster. We all get those strange thoughts now and again. I just do not wish to have those thoughts amplified a thousand times and not be in control.

I think any limitations are made up from yourself and are in your control if you learn how.

Once I dreamt of a hudge building and there was this super powered lift that went up and down this building so fast it was at the point where you had to try and stop yourself blacking out from the speed.

Anyway. when I arrived at one of the top levels. All these people came towards me and I have this metal penlike object.... And I just stabbed them one after the other. I killed them all. and I had no guilt about it. I keept on going up and down the lift and there was blood everywhere. Eventually the whole building exploded......

It sure wasn't a normal dream, but the point is limitations from your subconsious about doing certain things are only your construction. There is no real boundary it just depends how much control and in what way your mind is working. It is like they say, a terrible master but a great servant.

Once in real life I was in a forest and I came to the edge of a rocky cliff. I suddenly got the notion that maybe I was dreaming and felt an urge to jump off the edge :makeitstop: ! Of course, I decided not to but this seems to be an example of maybe what you are worried about.
