Lucid dreams always too fuzzy and too short

Hey!
I began researching about lucid dreaming about a year and a half ago, i was all over it for about a week and then i pretty much abandoned the subject.
After i began learning about it up until now I had many lucid dreams, about 1 per 2 weeks for over a year, thing is I was rarely sober (my mind wasn't very clear) enough to practice stabilization about 2 times, one time i closed my eyes and began spinning only to not being able to open them afterwards and the second time it didn't last long and i couldn't control anything, and in all the other lucid dreams I've had, they were too fuzzy, my thought span was limited, i didn't even remember stabilization techniques.
Since i feel like i have a big potential (having lucids every now and then) i came looking for tips on improving the clarity during them
