      Dry spell...

I haven't had a lucid dream in lots of days and it's pissing me off. Do I have to start over and redo everything from scratch to be able to have lucid dreams again or is there any faster and easier way, if so what? Basically how do I end this dry spell?

This happens to everybody at some point. I would say don't start over completely. You had lucid dreams before, which means you were doing something right, so no need to undo what works. Instead, try to figure out what could be causing the dry spell and fix it from where you stand now. Are you still recording your dreams? What technique (if any) have you been using to get lucid and are you still using that same technique? Are you under any kind of stress from work or school? (Stress is known to cause things like this to happen) It might be that you're simply trying too hard and the lack of success is stressing you out. If you can figure out what might be causing it it'll be easier to understand how to fix it.

dreams come in waves. I get dry spells of not having any vivid or lucid dreams at all. The thing that gets me every time is actually not enough sleep. When we are super tired our body pushes us way further than REM sleep and puts us into such a deep sleep we don't dream at all. If that's not it, then just be patient. It's natural to have dry spells. Our psyche gives us what we need during sleep.. and sometimes what we need is deep, restful, uneventful sleep

Of course you don't you have all that experience behind you, just make changes in your technique or practice more in the day and before bed. For example if your recall is bad work on that!
      Hope you break it!

Like what was said before, the one thing Ive learnt is that stress is really really efficient at putting you in a dry spell - youve had lucids before and will be able to do it again. Take a few days off worrying about dreams (I mean, youve got the rest of your life to sleep, anyway) sort out what needs to be adjusted.

I can only have decent non-lucids and lucid dreams in the weeked as I work during the week and am far too tired to perform any WBTBs and I still get a lucid every Saturday and Sunday morning - I just think about them all week at work.

I also noticed if I have big plans coming up, say Christmas? or University exams - that my chance of becoming lucid drops to practically zero. Find whats messing with your funk, fix it, and youll be lucid again in no time

When I went through something similar, in my case what I perceived of as a block, I simply created a mental movie to remove the block. In it I walked along a path to a valley near my special place to a pile of rocks I used a staff to pry loose and move aside so I could enter the valley. No magical, instantaneous results or anything. But by running that mental movie I set things in motion that in time, allowed me to LD again.

I believe my block was caused by a mistranslation of my dream. It hurt me, pissed me off and scared me among other things. I was new to this whole realm of experiences. I hadn't realized yet that our dreams are on our side, that they are not trying to hurt us.

The best book on visualization is Maxwell Maltz's "Psycho-Cybernetics."

I hate dryspells, everyone who lucid dreams will get them. The key is to believe you aren't in a dryspell. Don't think you can't lucid dream, but know you can!

I agree, and add that you should focus on the sea in front of you, not the desert behind you.

I am in the same boat friend, since fall semester at college started i've been having a very bad dry spell. I had a very difficult class load, I wasn't really stressed badly but the amount of stuff I had to do I think really effected my lds. Now with Christmas break we can focus on lucid dreaming again! yay!
