No one react like I'm Tom Cruise. In my lucid dreams I'm always running away from someone, I usually get in a car and drive off.
I'm not into dream interpretation but what could this mean and does anyone else of over-lying themes in there LD'S?

Dont' quote me on this but I can give you an idea as to why I would run in my dreams. I used to dream of running away from the people who used to bully me a lot in high school. In waking life I would contemplate a lot about what it would be like if the problem would just go away. in real I would literally run away from the bullies. In the end I discovered that the reason I ran was because those bullies didn't just personify the actual people who would do those things to me, but seeing them again in my dreams represented my lack of ability to stand up for myself in real. Once I started to realize that people are just people and it's easy to stand up to someone, I started doing the same in my dreams. Once I had this dream where the same bully in real was in my dream punching me in the face. The dream started out with me running away from this guy but every time I tried I couldn't run fast and I would be caught by one of his buddies. They would push me back towards the guy that was trying to beat me up. Then I turned and looked at the guy and started punching him. To my surprise my punch was FAST.. and I gave him a bloody lip. Then I punched again.. and again and again. I started punching like Neo .. the main character in The Matrix.. super fast flurry of punches. the guy ended up on the ground and I turned to his buddies and said "you better call an ambulance I think I just killed your friend". Ever since then I overcame that fear, both in dreams and in real, and I stopped dreaming of running away alltogether.
So the short of the long is, from my own personal experience, often times we dream of running away because in real we are having problems we can't deal with. The running represents our inability to face the problem head on, and the thing we are running from represents the problem itself. Whether it be a bully at school, or a public speech you have to give, if the thing that you are having issues dealing with consumes your life, in real, and you spend a lot of time thinking about it, or putting a lot of your energy into worrying about the problem, you end up with dreams where you have to run. Hope this helps..
thought so.
You say it like you have no control over it.. ? Did you mean 'normal dreams' opposed to lucid ones?
In my LD's. My dream control isn't that awesome, some days it is but mostly not.
Let me run it by you:
Non-Lucid:Something happening
*RC*
Lucid now, This guy is angry at me runaway.
I runaway I do sometimes check out the dreamscape but mostly i run away.
This could also be a symptom of not being present-minded. I have heard from other folks that sometimes the events in their dream go by really fast. This could be something like that. If it were my dream I would try to turn to whatever or whoever I am running away from and ask him/her/it what they represent and what do they want. If I was unable to control my running away I would start a meditation practice. I can recommend Yogani's, "Deep Meditation." In addition I would be sure to be recording and translating my dreams to see what they are trying to tell me. It could be that there is an inner issue you need to address.
