      Can anyone help me?

      Hey everyone,
I've been having a lot of lucids lately, which is awesome, but the problem is that they generally are quite blurry (or something, it's hard to describe - it's like looking at something with your eyes half open) and usually end when I leave the room I'm in. If I try to change something, the dream goes black. If I try to warp somewhere, black. If I fly up to go somewhere, black, until I land again in the same place. Is this normal? I've tried shouting 'clarity', nothing happens, occasionally I have a heightened sense of touch for a few seconds or see extra details on things but that's it. I've tried 'spinning', that usually just ends the dream or brings on the black again. Has anybody else experienced this?

I have the same problem. I assume the solution to this, is to believe that this won't happen however. I haven't had a lucid for a while (have had other stuff to mind), will try to get one now and report back in a dozen hours if anything happens.

You havent properly stabilized. To do a proper stabilization you look at your hands and notice there details and in this process you shout "Anchor lucidity now!" this shall help with the vividness, do this for a good 30 seconds then raise your view and everything should be lifelike or you could also use the ground to stabilize by looking at it and all its details.
      Science for the win.

Thanks LuMikkel, I look forward to hearing what happens
And thanks for your reply dream potato. I know thats not your user name. Just really wanted to type that. But it happens even when I use techniques similar to the one you described. Although I haven't tried that exact procedure so I might give it a shot!

      No dreams today.

@Rudedudeowns, I usually use this method, but it gets really hard and eventually everything fades to black anyways.

Well, first of all, anything is normal for lucid dreaming, in my opinion. By what you have described, I'd say you might not be lucid enough or something similar to that. It takes practice, warping and all of that. I'd personally fly, it's easier and it doesn't mess up the scenery too much. As for changing things, the only things I really like to change are the people within the dream to whom I want to challenge. Hell, just getting into a conscious state while dreaming is a challenge. It basically takes a lot of time and practice, I go on and off with lucid dreaming, but doing something that probably less than 10% (total guess) of the worlds population knows about is awesome.

If it were my dreams I would create a script for a mental movie where my sight changed from blurry to clear and focused. You can learn how to do this in Maxwell Maltz's, "Psycho-Cybernetics." I would run that movie every night before bed. I would daydream about what it would be like to clearly see. I would think of beautiful amazing scenes I want to see in my dreams that inspire me. For me its a valley I once experienced during a guided dream session. This valley was lush and green, and covered in shrooms! In the morning I would state, three times, that, "I want to see clearly in my dreams." Use your own words for these.

One other thing you could try is something I use in what I call my Awareness Walks. This is where I go outside and walk along the road, and I become fully conscious for a short time. The details this brings out are simply beyond words, and particularly noticeable to me as I have a stigma in my left eye. It's the experience of putting on my glasses(which I rarely use) , amplified a few times. Anyhow in your dream start with your lesser senses. Smell, Hearing, Touch, Taste, Feel. Smell the air around you. Listen to the sounds around you. Taste anything of interest in the area around you. Feel your clothes, or if you have no clothes, feel the air or sun on your skin. Keep each sensation you experience in mind. Continue to smell, hear, touch and feel as you work you way through every sense other than sight, and then bring in sight at the end. The quality of your sight should increase dramatically.

      Hope this helps!

      Your resistance to something,
Is the only power it has over you.
      This too, will pass.
