its just amazing

well this is not particularly connected to lucidity but actually with the subconscious itself. One of the main reason I'm trying to be lucid and have control with the dreamworld is the amazing claim that memories are stored deep inside your subconscious, memories that your waking self can't remember but are keep like files by the inner you, like a bank. The amazing thing is, as I progress with my "towards lucid" journey. taking down notes on every dream I have, there are times that I remember a dream that didn't happen at the night i should have had it. but actually they were dreams I had years passed, sometimes I cant even stop myself from smiling when I realized that one of those "suddenly remembered dreams" are from my childhood I mean damn its just fascinating :D and they're occurring more often lately :shadewink:

though I don't know why only the vivid ones. maybe because those are "carved" well.
anyway just wanna share this little trophy. It just feel so great to have a glimpsed of the bigger picture. those hard days sure are worth it :panic:

I don't think I'm the only one who had this "dreams" right? ;)

the fact itself that the subconscious does contain those "memories" that i wanted. Actually you might think those "memories" (memories that my waking self cant remember) might just be familiar with the dreams I had that's why i can suddenly recall them. Yes that's what i thought first when the first one occur to me. It had several things that are the same. Example: I was dreaming that I was at a beach with a certain someone. Then at the past, at a dream that I cant remember, I was with that certain someone too, the difference, we were at the town. But that certain someones "appearance/existence" is indeed what made me remember that dream. But what I had lately were past dreams that didn't have any connection or similarity to dreams that I've written down so far. And the reason for this, on my opinion and observation was because its what I truly wanted. every morning I always try my best to remember them. And at the long run my subconscious probably "adopted" to it. Thus showing me even dreams of the past. :shadewink:. what i mean with getting close little by little is that at least my subconscious now knows what I wanted and is cooperating, And I hope that at the moment I become lucid on the coming nights I wont have any troubles :panic: I just started my journey recently, and I don't know if it will met my expectation when i"m inside there, when I can talk to my subconscious. so this event happening, is truly good for me :D

Doesn't it suck that we can't command our brains to do as we want, i sometimes doubt how much we really do know about ourselves

There's some who believe that we still subconsciously remember things (even dreams) that don't come up unless they are triggered by something. Think about when somebody is asking you how much you know about something. It's a lot easier to show them if they ask you questions than if they're just off the top of your head (hence the expression, i guess :P). For example, if I ask you all you know about your country, it would be a bit difficult, right? But then if I asked you what happened on said date, you could probably remember that your country got invaded, gained independance etc. (then again there's also times where something just pops into your head, though I'm not entirely sure why this could be)

It's possible that in your drems is a "library" so to speak which contains all of your memories, such as first time you met someone, or even as far back as the first time you used the toilet. If you look through a book then it is like somebody is asking you a question, and it pops into your head. Though I have never done so personally, there are most likely a few members on here who have and could give you some advice/insight on this. If others tell you it's not real, find out for yourself and make your own decisions.
