My SC teased me!!!

So... despite being teased, I'm VERY excited. I have been trying to have my second LD for nearly two weeks. And I DID! Only, it only lasted about two seconds.

I started out trying to WILD for about an hour, listening to binaural beats, before I gave up (I had already tried for about two hours earlier in the day, with no luck). I took out my ear buds, and got off my back (I can only come close to WILD'ing when on my back, yet normally cannot fall asleep on my back). I closed my eyes again, and started to chant, "I'm lucid dreaming now," while staring at my eyelids. It only took a couple minutes before I fell asleep (which is VERY unusual for me).

I missed out on WILD'ing, but I ended up DILD'ing instead. I had a very unusual dream, and for the first time since I started recording my dream journal, I thought in the dream, "This is odd... I think I'm dreaming." I then got really excited, and said, "If I'm dreaming, I can fly!" I started to fly! And here's where I made my fatal mistake...

Instead of first stabilizing the dream, I immediately (while flying) closed my eyes in the dream, and imagined the new dream scene I wanted to be in. But when I opened my eyes, I opened them in real life!!! :(

I then didn't move, and closed my eyes, and tried to go back into the dream. I got flashing lights, then I started to get this deafening sound that reminded me of the sound cheap computer speakers will make if you have a cell phone receiving or sending data near it. I then got some colors, and I remembered a technique for entering the dream, where you will yourself to roll/remember the sensation. I did this, and I thought I was in a dream, so I opened my eyes... bad decision, I was still awake. I closed my eyes again real quick, and tried to start over again, but the lights started to fade...

Here's where my SC decided to tease me. I got this image of lettering... it started to get clearer and clearer... I read it... it said, "Waking Life," and that was it. Everything faded away, and no matter how hard I tried, I could not start the process over again.

And so... I decided to give up. I got out of bed, and started writing in my dream journal, and then on here. I'm about to go back to bed, and do it all over again. I have high hopes.

It's nice to have some success after so much effort (and almost two weeks without a LD).

Anyways, thought I'd share my success... anyone having difficulty, DON'T GIVE UP! And for those who are experts already, thought the teasing aspect would be funny.

Time to have another LD... peace!
