      Post First attempt

Hey, sorry to drop this on you guys but...
So last night I set a nice alarm for 3:30, because I calculated that I would be in my 4th REM stage by then and woke up during a dream. However I could only remember the location of the dream and what I was doing. It was terribly fuzzy and it only seemed to go for about 5 seconds.

My goal for that night was to wake myself up with the alarm and do a WILD, but it was hard because I couldn't remember the dream anyway, but I also just couldn't get to sleep. I ended up staying up for the rest of the morning.
Anyway, so about an hour and a half after failing to WILD I listened to a Lucid Audio posted by really, hoping to fall somehow into dream. This failed.

Now, to the point. Was this a pretty regular first attempt at Lucid Dreaming? Also, yesterday I tried to WILD from being awake all day. I lay down and thought over and over 'I will Lucid Dream' and also pictured the dream world I wished to enter. After a while of that my heart began beating really hard and I felt this passing vibration go through my whole body, starting from the head. I couldn't however, enter a dream.

So, what's with the beating heart and vibrations? I have never felt anything like it so what is it?

      Thanks
      I made a banana.

Hey! i'm a beginner like you but i'll try to help you out. From all the newbie thread's i have read what you experienced is pretty regular for a first attempt, you would have been very lucky to get a successful WILD for the first EVER attempt. I just had my first Lucid last night after 10 days of trying to DILD.

      Good luck!

Hey Sea07, sorry for the frustrations. The good news is that the vibrations you felt are quite common upon entering a WILD. I've felt them before without successfully entering a lucid dream before too, so I understand your pain.

I think you are definitely on the right track though, good work on calculating your REM cycles. Now all you have to do is try again, and make sure you're keeping record of what you DO dream, lucid or not.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
