It's been said that you stare at the hypnoherloyanlinkhypogonginicus imagry when you WILD, but when I WILD I can't enter the dream unless I pay zero attention to the imagry and zero attention to entering the dream. Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe Im not up on all the terms but WTF is hypnoherloyanlinkhypogonginicus imagry ?
He is refering to the hypnagogic hallucinations.
So why not just call it hypnagogic hallucinations.
WTF is hypnoherloyanlinkhypogonginicus imagry ?
I find that staring at them doesn't help too much... but if I start deforming it with my mind, all of a sudden, I get thrown into the vibrations. E.g. Yesterday morning, one of the images was a night sky with a lot of stars... I started moving the stars around in my mind (kinda made them into reverse-shooting stars haha), and boom, vibrations.
Unfortunately, once my vibrations start, all HI disappears, and I'm pretty much just there with my eyes closed, and then it all recedes, and I get a _real_ awakening... :( Must learn to focus more...
The HI don't help me get into the dream, only to get lulled towards sleep. Once I have the sense I am nearing SP and start hearing HS, I don't concentrate on the HI, but on how my body feels instead. When I'm ready I get up out of bed and start my LD. I wish I could watch the HI and start in some new dream scene each time, but I find if I concentrate on them too much I either fall asleep or am startled awake by some image.
I keep forgetting how to spell hypnagogic, so I just put something that sounded familiar.Quote:

And you came up with "hypnoherloyanlinkhypogonginicus". LMAO!! :laughtillhurts:
Hey Shlumpeet...if the HI is distracting then why not just ignore it. Hell...just let yourself fall asleep. I don't know if this method will work for you but it has worked for me hundreds of times. I call them "unintentional WILDs" ...I think the name speaks for itself.
I just lay down to take a nap...let my mind drift off into nothingness...sometimes I fall asleep and go lucid...sometimes I am brought back to consciousness during the vibrational state either way I usually end up in a lucid. Don't know how I get there. Just happens.
But my sleeping is so shallow that even after my dream is over I can sort of wake up and close my eyes and fall right back into another lucid. Though...sometimes I have to wait through all the HI and vibrational state again...can do this over and over. Quite fun! But the HI can get really annoying when it lasts for a few minutes. Sometimes I get impatient and just wake up.
Sigh...hopefully my lucid drought will end soon. I miss my marathon lucid naps. :(
i havnt gotten close to wilding in a long time. partly to the fact that im afraid to cuz i cant call alseep after cuz my concentration is so high. :|
