This isn't really about dreams themselves. I'm just wondering, in your opinion, how many LDs would you expect a LD "expert" to have had? As you can see from my LD dream count, I'm not very high, but I feel well informed and experienced in some areas.

I don't think numbers matter, quality over quantity. The more lucids only means the more experience the dreamer will have, that doesn't means they are very well informed.
For example, I have had thousands, but until 4 years ago didn't know anything about the terms used for lucidity, not about how sleep worked, HH, SP and the like, so you could say I was a very experienced newbie.
I think being an expert comes from knowledge and experience, which doesn't necessarily mean a certain number of lucids. After all, failed WILD attempts and other things like that can also count towards experience. I'd consider myself close to an expert in terms of knowledge - dream control and induction methods, even though I haven't had thousands of LDs.
I would consider myself on the road to becoming an expert I suppose. But I don't LD every night by any means.
Some people here LD over 7 times a week. While I'm lucky to get 1 a week at the moment. But I've already equaled my LD count from last year, this year, so in just a few weeks :D
I guess there's experts in knowledge, which I would say I am, and then experts in the actual practice, which I am not.
