Possiable to become Lucid in short naps?

I mean VERY short naps. Like when you fall asleep at school. Is it possiable to have a LD and 'stop time' to make it seem like, 2 weeks, while its really only 2 minutes? Has anyone done this?

Just wondering, because that would be something fun to test out next september...

      Hehe, sleeping in class eh?

Aquanina has had quite a bit of experience in LD napping, please send her a PM, she will be glad to help you. About the two weeks in 2 minutes thing? I'm skeptical about that, but please try it anyway!

      Good luck!

Like when I go to sleep for 5 mins during my break at work, I know that I won't sleep for long....& it seems that Custodial work seems to make it easier to LD within the time range (although I seem to just LD about playing Nintendo or being on here oh well). It is possible, but this is kind of hard to accomplish, & you don't want to be in SP when the break is over or when the teacher passes out work (believe me, I have been there.....I even tripped on my feet b/c they were still paralyzed!)

Hey there...yeah I have alot of experience with napping lucids. I've never experienced the whole time dilation (?) thing in a lucid before though really. Meaning that if I'm lucid for an hour it feels like an hour, or if I'm lucid for 2 minutes it feels like 2 minutes...not a week or a year. That's a whole other topic really.

But I think the shortest lucid nap I ever had was in the car and I had been asleep for about 15-20 minutes and had a lucid. Typically it takes me a good 30-45 minutes of napping before I begin to LD. I couldn't imagine falling asleep for 2 minutes and having a lucid straight from full wakefullness...however...many times I have been napping and something like a cell phone woke me up, and then I would lay back down and go straight into HI/vibrational stage/lucid dream.

So I bet if you were asleep for several minutes and then woke up, and went back to sleep I could see that being entirely possible that you could go straight to lucid. I've never fallen asleep in class though...lol my teachers would have jumped down my throat! What kinds of schools are kids going to these days??? o_o

And yeah if you have any questions feel free to send me a PM.

From what I understand, the reason napps are such a good way to incubate lucid deaming is because your conscious mind is more active and alert, as opposed to going to sleep at night. At night your subconscious often takes over as your conscious mind rests. That is one reason that another good technique to induce a lucid dream is to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep, set your alarm and get up for about a half an hour to forty five minutes and then go back to sleep. You are ingaging the conscious part of your brain, activating it so the two can communicate.

As far as time dilation...That is a whole nother story. There are many ideas about this. Many of wich you can find floating aroung the Forum.

I am currently trying to elaborate on this topic in the Reseach Team with an STM & Judgment Experiment. I have not had many participants.
I am basically trying to compare dreaming time with that of the basic laws of physics to our general waking life.
