Missed a great chance at lucidity.

So, In a dream last night I was talking to a buddy of mine and randomly said, "you know I could be dreaming right now." He said "nah, you aren't", then I said "Well you know dream characters usually tend to deny the existence of your dream when you mention you might be dreaming." Then he said "trust me bro, you are not dreaming haha." I woke up and sort of chuckled because I was talking about dreaming to a dream character and he denied that I was dreaming, I should've done a reality check or something lol, hopefully next time I remember to do a reality check, then I can brag to my DC that he/she was wrong and that I really am dreaming.

Haha, that's a bummer. xD
I've had quite a few dreams like that, not to mention a non-lucid where I was showing DCs how to summon objects, and I told them stuff like "dreams behave unpredictably" and "everything in a dream is about your expectations"...

Not two seconds later, I used expectations to summon chocolate cake in that dream. Without being lucid.

Why. :P

I usually kept lucid dreaming a secret to everyone I know, so that if they talked about it I can yell at them "Got you! Take that, you subconscious!"

Hahah interesting well it's too late to keep it a secret for the people I know I'm just so intrigued by it i gotta tell everyone when I have one lol. My plan is to perform frequent reality checks whenever talking about dreaming so that hopefully next time this happens I will do it and realize I'm dreaming, and then I'll be able to have a deep conversation with my DC or rather my sub-conscious. The few lucids I've had I have not thought of talking to a DC. I've heard it's pretty interesting tho, so I can't wait to try it.
