my question's pretty short. would typing your dreams instead of writing affect dream recall. like from your expeience, did typing your dreams decrease your dream recall.

Both are forms which are recording your dreams, so I wouldn't expect any difference, I can't see any diferent personally.
Nope. Recording by any way possible increases your recall enormously :D
thanks you guys ^__^
I type mine, since it's just more convenient for me. I don't think it affects my recall at all.
I think it depends on the individual. Some people need to stay as close as possible to being in the same position in bed while recalling, which is why keeping a notebook by your bed can be really handy, as opposed to getting up, turning on the computer, opening up whatever you're going to write in, staring at a bright screen, etc. I've found it doesn't really matter for me - but when I first started recording my dreams I used a notebook and then later rewrote them on the computer. I actually really like the process of writing them down twice because even more can come out the second time around.
I think when I kept a notebook I had better recall and more LDS, as opposed to now I type from bed into my Iphone and I am not as good as I used to back then. probably out of practice and maybe a little of the typing part.
Yeah, I think that some people also don't remember as much when they, firstly, wait to write their dreams down, and secondly, have to stare at a screen. It's a lot easier to get more down (even if it's slower) when using a pen and paper that's just right by your bed.
And like I said, I'm a big fan of writing them down twice in a day, because more comes out and it boosts your recall even more :)
I'd say whichever is fastest. If, like me, you can type quicker than you can write, you can keep up with your stream of thought more easily, and not think ahead to the next detail of your dream before you've written down the current one. Ideally I'd use a dictaphone so that I could record my thoughts as soon as they occur - but I hate listening to myself on tape :)
