Oh, man! Had you asked this just a couple of days ago, I would have said, that all I ate was a plant to stabilize. But just 2 nights ago, I visited my moms. She baked some of her traditional cookies and someone brought over bunch of cakes from cake shop. I had a chocolate cake with lemon, pinapple cake, cokies with pecans with jam. And ate tons of ham. Everything tasted as it should. When I woke up, I was still chewing. I saw beer twice, once even held the bottle, but was not able to take a swig. I'll be ready next time:D
I have eaten so many things.
Humans, plants, rocks, aliens, baked rice, several kinds of bread, food with emotions as seasoning, emotions themselves, thoughts, etc etc.
I tasted dream plastic. It tasted like dull strawberry.

So if you eat food you know you don't like in real life, will you not like the taste in a lucid? and how real does the food taste in a lucid?
I won't like it in dreams either, unless I modify my body.
And for me, it tastes like normal food. Except for the crazy things like emotions/thoughts/alien food.
I was non-lucid in something like Willy Wonka's factory. I ate a yellow gumdrop which literally had no taste at all and made me realize I was dreaming.
In my first lucid I happened to be in a grocery store. I started off with throwing things off the shelves (it's fun to be bad). Then I moved onto the food, I tried an apple, it was tasteless and "plastic." Then I had some sort of fruit, it had a thin skin and it was filled with juices, and it was tall and purple, they kind of looked like those long balloons you make animals out of. It didn't have much taste, but was kind of sweet and refreshing.
I recall having Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo in a lucid once I just took a seat with some random people in a surreal landscape and chowed down. :p
I don't remember exactly how it tasted (as this was a year ago) but it was good. :D
I remember eating bread in a non-lucid... And I woke up with a strawberry taste in my mouth.

Emotions, depends on the emotions. Some would be sour or sweet or a mix of tastes, some would just taste "warm".Quote:

Alien food... there are just so many dishes I have tasted. Off the top of my head there is one based on weird fruits, that tastes like a mix of lemons with chicken meat and some milky sauce on top of it, all cold.
I can remember the first time I tried food, I ate some alien fruit that had a faint orange taste.
I also ate some candy that tasted accurate.
More recently I ate a chocolate chip cookie that had flavor but not much texture.
I assume that if you created a lucid dream about eating a delicious meal and focused on that, the food would taste just about as good as it would in real life.
