Meditation in a LD?
Hello everybody:)
I have just a "little" question";) What would happen if you would meditate IN a dream, LD? Big possibility would of course be that you would wake up:) But what if you would force yourself from falling asleep(waking up in this case;) )? Anybody ever tried this? This might give us the key for intentional "layered" dreams, to go into another dreamlevel, while meditating in the one above...pretty much Inception-based, but you could use the theory from it :cheeky: I am going to try it, and please anybody who has the opportunity, try it too;) Remember: While in the dream: :meditate: :)

Hi there!
I think experiences will vary from each person and that is also dependent on the material they have read about it as it influences their expectations. Personally, when I tried to meditate in my lucid, it led to me waking up :/ I've only ever tried once though. A member here has reported being able to really feel the energy of the dream. You should try it~

I regularly meditate in my lucid dreams. At first I used to wake up pretty fast, because when I sat down just watching, the dream started to fade, because it is important for my lucidity to be highly involved in action and in the succession of experiences (images, sounds, smells, textures). Then someone highly knowledgeable explained to me that meditation in a dream does not imply sitting down, it should actually consist of letting yourself go with the dream but consciously watch everything that happens and "materializes" around you, without judging, without manipulating, etc. Just watch with full attention.

You got some wise words there :) Definitely going to try it, sure it is worth a try;)

Hey there, I agree with you and I believe that you can go to other dreamplane/ level when you meditate in a lucid dream :) I've heard some experiences from the members in korean LD forum and I only experienced once, but we've had some several matching ones...
Well few weeks ago I had WILD and did meditation IN DREAM for the first time to try to calm myself, because I didn't want my LD too short lol. So I did breathing meditation, trying to have relax, comfortable mindset, and suddenly my dream body disappeared and I became blind. and then I heard a voice of manly woman: "do you think it's air you're breathing?" (haha same line from the Matrix >.>) when I remembered this line after I woke up it was kinda creepy. but, it actually wasn't unpleasant at all. I felt vibration and something tiny bubbles or sand pebbles passing my body. although I was blind, I could sense the color of pink/ orange. actually I usually get scared when my dream body disappears being blind - this usually happened when I try to dream walk into other's dream. but this time I wasn't scared at all. after then, my dream scene faded into white and I woke up.
Then I read a dj of one member that was similar to my meditation LD. she got also lucid in dream, and did meditation. suddenly the scene changed into some kind of pitch black universe. the big bubbles and beads passed her dream body, and she felt really happy for no reason, like a pure child. she saw yellow/ orange lighting in the dream scene. and few moments later she woke up.
she commented on me that she believes that we can go to another level of subconsciouness by meditating in a dream. this was also her first try.
Another member posted a dj about wilding. He regularly has been meditating in waking life. he was in sp, but blind like me, and suddenly felt little sand pebbles passing his dream body. soon he woke up.
haha I don't know what to say, but it's definitely worth a try. the same result we had was amazing tho. maybe this is also linked to astral plane? or in collective consciousness? :P

1. Mediation stabilises the mind, and reduces its erratic activities.
2. Physical behaviour in the dream world has neural correlates with physical behaviour in the real world.
3. Thus, I wouldn't say it's a leap of faith to assume that meditation within the dream results in a more stabilised world; free of continued, erratic shift, e.g. clock digits, one's face and hands, elements of the environment.

During waking state of consciousness meditation aligns one with the infinite organisational intelligence of the universe by becoming intune with the laws of nature. The perfect ordering of the universe. When this meditation is applied on a subconscious level rather then from waking to subconscious in waking syate then one is completely reordering and organising their subconscious existence from the place where it entirely exists, bringing it all together at once and shaping it all at once, the experience can be seeminglt dramatic because during this Transcendence one can feel the great changes very instantly. This is with Mantra, the mantra one uses will change this, if you're doing breath then you rather enter into void and pure consciousness, both go hand in hand although mantra is more affective more systematic and more organised as it inevitably unconsciously alters the breath as a result.

Reminds me of a yoga teacher I met once. He said people come to do yoga and achieve flow. But all we do here is remove what blocks you from yoga. Yoga happens out there in your daily life.
To have what you want from meditation practice letting go and observing the depth of what is around you. If you practice it when you're awake it will carry over the dream. It's something I plan on working on when I get more advanced. Finals are making my dream life a little chaotic at the moment lol.
