Theory of mine
At night when Im laying there I run all kinds of crazy things through my head. I thought Id run a idea buy you guys and see what you think. I suppose this could be possible.
What if when you dream your consciousness leaves your body and travels to a parallel universe. So this dream world your in is a real place, you just cant seen it when your awake but can see it while asleep when your consciousness is no longer in your body.
So when you see people in your dreams they could be real people who are also dreaming.
Lets say you are dreaming of shopping at walmart, all those people you see are also dreaming of being at walmart.
So the dream I had where I tried to beat up that math teacher may of had some math teacher dreaming he was teaching class and some idiot tried to beat him up.
This is just a theory of mine, I think its possible that something along these line could be true.

I thought of something similar, but wholly different, and it's neat to ponder these ideas.
The dream world is a special place!

There are few theories.
1. Our dreams are just in our heads.
2. Our dreams happen on the dream plane, where the dreamer is the only real person and everybody else is creation of your mind (private dream pool).
3. Dreams are on a dream plane, where there are also other dreamers, characters created by our mind and inhabitants of dream planes (public dream pool).
and probably more, which I don't know about.

Just as a dream seems unstable and random compared to real life, perhaps real life is yet another dream and we'll wake up for real once we die? And what if that is yet another dream? The theories are endless, but for yours to not fall apart, you can't be yourself in a dream, atleast not in other people's eyes. Let's say your friend dreams of kicking your ass. You on the other hand had a dream of being at the beach that night. Someone else on earth would have have to dreamt that he got his ass kicked, only in your friend's dream he looked like you and behaved like you.
I often tell my friends my dreams and they're almost never similar. On a few occasions we've had similar dreams but it's pretty rare for it to happen.

I almost wonder whether it could be combinations of what others have posted. Sometimes characters in my dreams seem to have characteristics of people I know, yet they are not those people. This would seem to point to the idea that the dream is existing in my own personal dream world. Yet then again, sometimes I meet people who I have truly never known, and there is no hint of any qualities of anyone I've known. So where are they coming from? How am I making them up? Could they be people dreaming about me, opr characters we all somehow share?
Excellent and interesting topic...
