So stephen La Berge is gonna be 2kms away from me....

I can't believe I'm gonna miss this opportunity. There's gonna be a meeting between great names of sleep and dream research in my city, including Stephen La Berge! I heard he hasn't visit Europe in a very long time, and I never actually saw a scientific discussion in my county about lucid dreaming. Ever!

The problem is that the cost to be there is 180euros, which is too much money in this time of crisis. I'm literally: **** my life.

Have you ever attended these kind of lectures/meetings? Would you pay for a chance of being there?

Oh that's awesome! I would just stand outside the building and wait for Stephen LaBerge to come out XD.

I haven't attended any lectures/meeting about lucid dreaming. I wouldn't pay that much money to attend one, though.

That is a lot of money, but I don't know if I could pass up the chance to interact with LaBerge. It's one of my bucket list things to go on one of his retreats. I'd love to know more about what he's been up to in recent years.

Stephen LaBerge? Oh, for YOUR sake, just sneak in! Or better yet, sign up with the crew of temp workers at whatever massive hotel the conference is being held at.
I mean, really... how much does dreaming (and lucid dreaming) mean to you? I broke the bank to go from Kansas to Kentucky to see my favorite band. Maybe LaBerge is worth it to you, maybe not.
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
