Thread: DC's who are family and friends

Sadly I'm rarely around my family or friends when I become lucid. When I do I pretty much forget about them and fly away or something. I'll have to take my brother on an adventure sometime.

I'm convinced i acctually met my GF in a dream.
I had 2 seperate dreams where i met this girl then like a year or so later we met in real life and i was like :O !!
I have not seen her in a dream since.

I've spent too much time in dreams trying to make my family member's lucid. -_-;

I've had a lucid where I was close to having a shared dream with a friend of mine, she told me I was moving too fast, and I was moving too fast because I started to get irritated that I couldn't find her, when she was just a few feet away from me if I kept my cool.

I've had a non-lucid where I was knocked out, and it turns out a friend of mine had a shared dream without me even knowing about it until I saw her entry and saw the similarities in the situation.

Shared dreaming is an abstract thing, not all the time will the person remember what they did with you, even if you both are attempting to find each other.

Sometimes you might be meeting a person at a different stage, or personality of themselves. It's kind of hard to explain, but you may see them based on what they allow you to see them, while keeping other traits hidden from you.

"Sometimes people have an easier time than others. In dreaming we find people at various points. People do not always remain at the same points. The grow and they die. You can't always expect to find them where you last see them........."

"Well, let's think about this further. Dreaming is similar to waking life. You draw out the person you want to interact with. In waking life, people are capable of giving you many versions of themselves, depending on what you want to experience. Dreaming is very similar............"

"Well that's a little more complex. People can be many things to many people. However, some people aren't able to give you what you want to draw out from them. They consent to what they give you. Some, obviously won't consent."

Took that from a conversation a friend of mine had with a person in her dreams. You don't have to believe what he told her, but it does makes sense in a way with whether or not the people you interact with are just figments of your imagination, or possibly just a shell, or layer of the person you know.
