Different types of Dream Characters?

This possibility was only brought to my attention when I finally encountered another "type" of dream character in a recent dream.
Usually the DC's I meet are either going along with the plot, not saying anything or following me and leading me.

Last night I met a DC who actually came along, did something that was mean to me and then called me an asshole. His face was also a little clearer than usual and I found I could focus on him easier.
I dreamed that I had a car for sale and was showing it to some woman, when he came along, ripped up the for sale sign and called me an asshole.

So I began wondering, are there different kinds of DC? Like are there ones who lead, ones who follow, ones who antagonize you and ones who give you help?
What kinds have you met? Why would they have different personalities? Why not all of them just be bland and unfocused?

I wouldn't classify them as anything else besides DCs. They were just mischievous ones, that's all. Most of mine are fairly tame, though I've seen a few hostile ones.

I wonder why they differ sometimes thought? Wouldn't it take extra thought to give a DC a persona, and on that you would have had to on some level decide what they were going to be like.

Well, DCs in non-lucids act like that, don't they? It's not like you're exerting extra thought to give your DCs a personality when your in a non-lucid. It's just my opinion, though, others may think differently and that's okay. I'm actually curious to see what others say as well.
