What happened?
So I was laying in my bed last night, trying hard to just fall asleep. I had a song stuck in my head and i was trying to just shut off and fall asleep. I remember the WILD tutorial that says the main point of WILD is to fall asleep. I wasnt even trying to WILD or whatever, I was trying to fall asleep and the dang song in my head kept me conscious for a bit too long..
Suddenly I wasnt in bed anymore, I was riding a lawnmower in my front yard. Little slices of grass shooting out of the blade protecter, the deafening hum of the engine, holding on to a water bottle in case I got too hot. I was obviously really really surprised.
Then suddenly, probably less than a half second later, back in my bed. Song stuck in my head. I RC'd. Awake. Strange..
About 8 seconds later, exact same thing happened again. Woke up again. Awake.
Honestly I dont remember after that, I probably succeeded at just going to sleep. But I still wonder, if I hadnt gotten so surprised, was I entering a dream? I know, I probably sound stupid asking because I have no experience on this.

Was all this while you were in sleep paralysis? Because it might be a hallucination.

I dont really know, I was trying not to think about anything. Perhaps it was hallucinations, because I dont remember anything strange happening before that.

This is how WILD happens, sometimes. We don't always experience every sensation described in WILD guides. Sometimes it is a rough transition, with paralysis, hallucinations, and body distortions. Other times, we just pop into a dream scene.
This is the way we fall asleep. Little dreamlets and bizarre, random scenes will pop in and out of our thoughts as we drift off. If you are paying attention, you can catch one and spin it out into a lucid dream.
