I dreamed last night I was at some type of desert...there were three sunken buildings in the background, some doors all around. I saw this woman there. She was very kind, and told me I would come back soon. I'm using MS paint and have a limited supply of colors, but I tried to recreate what she looked like. Any idea who she is? :( *confused*

You have just met the Goddess Archetype. You have found the Highest of All Spiritual Patrons.
It is something of a First Initiation. How do I know? The Desert. The Wilderness. You are now alone and cut off from the Vine of the Cosmic Christ, and so you now inhabit that Spiritual Realm where nothing grows. All that will now change.
The Three Buildings in the background are the Ruins of the Three Higher Religions of the World. This agrees with my own set of Dreams in which I was told that the "Peoples of the Three Mountains are now experincing the privations of Drought. In your Dream, these Three Higher Religions are in Ruins in the Dryness of the Desert.
You will go back soon. Hmmmmm. Maybe you should do a bit of homework in preparation. Do some study of the Three Buildings with the Open doors. Do some Web Searches on Zoroastrianism ( http://www.zoroastrianism.cc/mazda_ahura.html ). Now take a look at the Hindu Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses ( http://www.sanatansociety.org/hindu_gods_a...d_goddesses.htm ) -- get the sense how the Hindus divide the Universe between Male and Female -- Maleness represents Heaven and things Primary and Above, while the Female Principal represents Energy and Creation. A bit of Hindu Philosophy could not hurt, and although I like my Hinduism from Vivekananda, this on line book certainly looks complete enough ( http://www.dlshq.org/download/hinduismbk.htm ) but modern Hindu Philosophy may best be understood by one of its recent great intellectuals and prophets, Sri Aurobindo ( http://www.miraura.org/teaching.html ). Marian Catholicism, as a Goddess Religion can be examined by going over some famous Apparitions ( http://www.apparitions.org/#codes ) pay close attention to Guadalupe, Lourdes, Fatima, and 1830 Rue de Bac -- click on the links off to the side.
Knowing a little bit about those Three Buildings and that Goddess will stand you in good stead when you return. She will be happy that you took the time to 'google' Her.

In fact it is a manifestation of Synchronicity.
I was just going to use my new Fonix "ISpeak" software to whip up a Auto-Suggestion File to ask my Higher Mind if there is a particular Patron Saint of Dreaming.
And then not two hours go by when I find out that Dreaming not only has a Patron Saint, but has its own Patron Goddess.
Oh, don't let Her youth fool you into being overly casual. The most informal one should be with a Goddess is to refer to Her as Our Lady. One should always capitalize Her pronouns. For instance -- 'we can properly refer to Her as 'Our Lady Glad', understood to be the Patron Goddess of Dreaming.
All of my other interpretations stand intact, however, especially in regards to Dreaming and its Spiritual Utility, the Three Higher Religions (those three old buildings buried in the sand) really are in deplorable shape. But Dreaming used to be a Big Deal in with Religions.
Hey! That is the blue ogre in that Roman Building that has been appearing in my LDs lately! She even told me how to ***-** through a LD! At least she puts up a challenge in LD SSBMQuote:

That's very good dreamwork and interpretation, Leo. However, in this case it seems that Astrologic Choas was playing a trick on us. Glad is a character made up by the artist Pantemillion, and the environment descibed is the Lucid Crossroads, also designed by him. He just wanted to see how long it will take for someone to identify the website :roll:.

Actually I've seen her before in a dream when I was a Kid.. If my memory serves me correct she told me her name was something crazy like Zinopi or something like that. Yeah her feet never toched the ground she just floated around with this long red drapping fabric and had the strangest but most suductive looking eyes. Her skin look like Lizard skin scally and cold looking but her hair was beautiful.

i read that crossroads site. very cool stuff. so the idea is you fill your mind with the pics and info so u can recreate it in a lucid dream? thats cool and could really help once becoming lucid.

The disdain for Religion is a modern plague, and has nothing much to do with either spiritual reality or psychological truths. Yes, modern Psychology has done its best to strip the the religion and spirituality out of the psychological catalogues, but how successful has this De-Mythification been when Carl Jung has to acknowledge all of the Ancient Gods, and particularly the Goddesses, as his 'Archetypes'.Quote:

So, yes, one can protest against Religion until one turns as blue as krishna, but it does not altar the fact that as soon as are dreams come up the first level from black and white dreams of low ordinariness, then we almost instantly begin meeting with the Goddess and Oracle Archetypes.
The Ancient Peoples who would forego making sports stadiums and Dramatic Theaters so that they could build elaborate and expensive Temples to these various Goddesses... consider... WHY would they do such a thing. I'm sure they would have enjoyed being just as snotty about 'religion' as any modern person, but perhaps they had more respect for their Dreams and their actual Spiritual Experiences.
It has only just been a modern interpretation of Religion that a Religion has to be some silly set of intellectual beliefs confined to an obsolete Book. Yes, I can hardly blame anybody for rejecting these modern Non-Participation Religions. Personally, I find much a Christianity sourcing out of Paul, and I find that he and his doctrines perfectly fit what we would expect of the Anti-christ. So it is probably a sign of discernment that people reject Paulist Christianity. But, on the flip side, people should realize intuitively that a True Religion must be out there somewhere, and not be overly demoralized by the ubiquity of False Religions. I could hardly comment on Islam, as those people hardly take criticism with any Religious Charity. Yet people will despise Religion in general without even bothering to examine Zoroastrianism, whose territories were unfortunately over-run by Islam. And yet some of the Greatest Saints the World has known, and the most accomplished Spiritual Schools have sourced out of Zoroastrian Traditions. You see, the Sufis -- those Whirling Dervishes of legend -- are actually Zoroastrian. yes, they pretend to be Islam now, but what choice do they have when they live side by side with those crazy terrorist bigots who, considering the Sunni vs. Shia civil wars, can't even get along without slaughtering each other. Then we have ... I would call it Hinduism, but actually the better parts of the Religions and Philosophies of the Indus Sub-Continent come from traditions which predate the Aryan-Brahmin Invasion of India. One needs to distinguish between the Hinduism of the Caste Conscious Racist Brahmins, and the Hinduism of the Common People of India who had been Civilized when the Aryans were still painting their asses blue and howling at the moon. In the Pre-Existing Hinduism, we have the Goddess Religions. The Aryans brought the Patriarchal Gods, but it is interesting that the entrenched Beliefs of the Patriarchal Brahmins was not able to dislodge the Goddesses, and they had to be retained as Consorts to their Male Gods. It might be interesting to study our Dreams and see in what proportion we meet with the Goddesses rather than the Gods. It is my contention that Civilized Peoples everywhere are distinguished by their Acceptance of Female Divinity. Thieves and Barbarians cling close to their Predatory War Gods. But when people settle down to homes and hearths, and learn to share and cooperate in Community, then it makes sense that the Nurturing Mother Goddesses would come to the fore.
Quite a good reading acctually. And, reading between the lines, I agree on what you say. Well I don't agree that the despise of Religion is a modern plague, quite the opposite. But one can argue that Religion is both physiologically and psycologically healthy. Ironically modern science confirms that. I do pray, not in the common sense though, and I believe that it is not some god that answer your prayers, but merely yourself. I guess that would be called satanism.
So if have understood this correctly that goddess is one of Jungs four archetypes? (I believe it was four, I never studied Jung well enough). And man have always seen this goddess in his dreams? If that is true, it has to be either something genetical, or she does exist. (Again Science and Religion are equivalent, i.e. one doesn't really know what to believe anymore) And if she does exist, it's mindboggling. If it's genetical, it's even more mindboggling.

Jung had a great body of work and had theories upon a lot of things. Archetypes was just one of his notions. But I think, when you mention four of something, that you are thinking of his model on psychological types. That was his way of separating people into 'apples and oranges'... and bananas and peaches.Quote:

In regards to Jung... yes, it all makes rather interesting reading, but one needs to keep quite in mind that Jung was not a god. He never claimed to have been possessed of any revealed wisdom... oh, wait, I do take that back... he did have some numinous experiences. But by that time most of his works had already been written. Indeed, people should make it a point to never begin writing when one is still awfully young. It skews one's eventual collected works. It mixes the thoughts of Mature Wisdom with the folly of youth.
But anyway, regarding Jung, we only need to go over his writings as those of an intellectual. He was not even much of a scientist. There are a great number of indications that he never really kept data. His claims to have conducted studies turned out to be jargon so that he could be published in certain scientific journals. When they finally got around to exercising some peer review on this Giant of Psychology, they found he could not stand up to it even in the least. But as an intellectual he had some fine and intuitive ideas. But let us not treat him like some Saint of Science, which he clearly was not. And even if he did have some Numinous Experiences, and was himself of some advanced spirituality, still, we must be careful of so involving ourselves in his intellectual models of the universe and the world, that we don't engage and integrate our own Vision of how things work. That being said, I wish I had a half a dollar for every time I borrowed a term or concept from Jungian Psychology. Yet I feel that overstudying it... doing anything more than a quick reading... would soon run you into diminishing returns for your efforts. His completed works run on for some 20 volumes. But 95% of everything useful could be found in a few paperbacks.
