      General Background and advice

Hi I'm new here, first post. Over the last year or so, I've had several trippy sleep/dream experiences, not quite a lucid dream tho.

Lots of hypnagogia a while ago when I had trouble falling asleep. For example, one there were a bunch of voices and subtitles and they were blue (the voices were blue too, not just the subs ).

Once, a bunch of of black sheets of like velum or vinyl paper started coming out of my wall, as if there were printers in it. Then there was a bright light near my head. It was unpleasant at the time, because it amplified a bad mood I was in, but now it seems pretty cool.

As far as lucid dreaming itself is concerned, I've had several kinda-lucid-ish dreams, but i'm never clear headed and completely aware. Also a lot of times, I'll do a reality check or notice something weird, but not care. For example, I was once like "oh, I didn't know there where oddly shaped nods on the back of my guitar." How do I gain some levelheadedness in my dreams? Also, I'd like to try WILD, but I'm not sure I have the patience/focus to keep my head and simultaneously let myself fall asleep.
Lucid dreaming will be one of my summer projects, and any help, especially in response to the above, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if this is in the wrong forum, please correct me and explain the layout.

      Welcome, samslff

WILD's not as hard as you think, and Yoshi's guide makes wilding much easier. http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/yoshis...chnique-82529/

I have never WILDED though so can't give you much advice on that, all 4 of my lucid dream's came from DILD's, all I do is about 10 reality check's at random times during the day.

WBTB is probably the easy method, all you have to do for WBTB is wake up after 4-5 hours of sleep, go to the toilet/get a drink etc and then go back to sleep.
