LD during the night?

So basically i had many LDs already, honestly i never counted it, so no idea how many actually. One thing for sure though is that i ONLY had 3 LDs that happened before 7AM, 2 of those were at 2AM, 3AM and one was at around 6AM.
I'm practising LD since 2 years now and except those 3, i just can't get a single LD during the night...

Now the reason i made my thread is because almost all my LDs happen after 7-8AM, which sometimes causes the dreams to be less stabil as i'm not sleeping that deep anymore at these times.

Anyone know a solution to make my LDs happen during the night and not that late in the morning?

I know that it has to do something with the longest REM cycle, but still... people often report LDs during the night...

Anyone?:P

Good question and you might be on the right tracks.
The first few REM periods are fairly short, the main ones in an average sleep (of 8 hours) are at 4.5 and 6 hours, and they last for about 30 mins. It's odd that you don't normally experience LDs there, it could be that you have poor recall?
As the night goes on the REM period increases as your body has had enough deep sleep, it also makes you more prone to waking up when you have had enough deep sleep.
So yeah I'd say the only factor is recall, if anything LDs should happen earlier on (unless you wake up), but then again everyone's active memory pretty much becomes inactive when you go to sleep :D

Well... my recall is getting worse and worse these days... i remember between 3-5 dreams usually when i wake up, but i forget them easily during the day....

I was actually thinking about joining your classes at the DV academy to work on my recall... i just didn't do so because i wasn't sure if it's only for beginners or not :)

You might have a point in my recall being the problem... i myself can't find another cause either...
