So close.. yet so far away :(

I've been trying to have an LD for about now :P I've been doing reality checks and keeping a dream journal

Last night, I remember dreaming and I was at my old school with friends. I can remember our teacher coming up to us and giving us a test.. I openeded it to find it was about dreaming and lucidity.. :eek: I even asked the teacher "Do you know what Lucid dreaming is?"

Unfortunatly I never done a Reality Check in my dream.. I was kicking myself this morning :(
I was so close to having an LD :(

Anyone else have any scenarios like this of their own?

It's nothing unusual when someone's awareness is not high enough.

If you practise more, things like this will make you lucid more often.

Try MILD, I think it's rather underestimated, but it's really effective. It'll reinforce LDing into your subconscious and you'll catch these moments easier.

It happened to me some times, in a dream of mine I looked at my hands like doing an RC but stopped in the middle of it and didn't get lucid oO

I had this somewhere when I began lucid dreaming too, spend a lot of time on these forums before I went to sleep.
Its in my dream journal here:Bicycle duplication.
So I basically did something, somebody thought I was crazy but I told him it could only be done in dreams, without realizing it was a dream in which I found myself.

Sometimes, it also happens with me. I do RC like pinching my nose to know about the dream.

ive done the nose pinch rc, realized in the dream that it worked and got excited, but then didnt clue in to the fact that I was lucid. It pissed me off soooo bad haha. Dont worry about it though, like 2 weeks after that I got my first lucid dream and it was awesome :) so your almost there, any night now.

You understand your close yet? You just have to keep working your way up. Trust me i was easy to jump the boat and say ld /sp is fake. just out of frustration.

Last night i had 1,i was talking to my cousin then i told him that i was dreaming so i ran outside and tried to fly,he was smoking a blunt and laughing,then i start believing it was real life again so that killed ithttp://static.bbmp3.com/smilies/fbj4fb.jpg.png

Something similiar happened to me about a week ago.

I was talking with my friend and the conversation went like this :

Friend: Dude, you know you're dreaming right?
Me: Yeah i know.

Didn't get lucid :/

i was also so close

looked at my hands..i remember they were blurry and i started examing the scene...

i was so upset at myself once i woke up

so close fuuuuu

ive had a dream somewhat like that once where i was looking for binaural beats on an iphone so i could try it that night and i didnt even realize i was dreaming...

Last night in my dream, I was watching a documentary on Lucid Dreaming presented by Morgan Freeman :P On the same night I also told one of my friends that I had just been Lucid. Neither of these things caused me to question reality :(

Ah yes, I've had a lot of moments in dreams where I ALMOST realize i'm dreaming, but it just doesn't hit me. ugh.... god, it's annoying...
