First of all sorry if this i the wrong section, but I had no idea where to post this.
My class will have a speech about diffrent subjects, and I chosed lucid dreaming. The thing is tho that the speech has to be five minutes, so I have not alot of time.
What do you think is the most important things to talk about during those five minutes?
Well for me personally, I could talk for hours about lucid dreaming :lol: Since it has to be 5 minutes... I'd first explain what it is. Go into detail. Then explain how you accomplish it (you could talk about keeping a dream journal, dream recall, reality checking, talk about the different methods), and then I guess you could finish it off by explaining what lucid dreaming allows you to do. Does any of that help?
I think that it's better to explain generally what it is, because everybody knows what dreaming is and lucid dreaming basically is realizing that you are dreaming and be able to control it. After that try to convince them to try lucid dreaming, by telling them the amazing stuff you can do.

I did a lucid dreaming presentation that had to be around 5-10 minutes long. I basically covered what was lucid dreaming, common techniques, how it can help solve waking life issues and personal enlightenment.
I think if you go with what people would want out of it in general (having fun, doing what you want, freedom, etc.), you can make a pretty good presentation, because if you go into the deeper aspects of it like "dreaming plane" "astral plane" "shared dreaming" "dream guides" etc., they probably would think it's too complicated, seeing as most of them probably wake up everyday not knowing they can recall their dreams and such.
They might ask you if you lucid dream as well, I know a few asked me that after my presentation. :P
And don't mention any of the latest sleep research or suggest that the students sign up as test subjects... it might turn into a nightmare! :cheeky:

You need to b a bit precise. Only talk about the major topics in lucid dreams ignoring the deeper aspects as Linkzelda said. It would probably be enough for completing your five minutes presentation.

Wow. I literally, just today, gave a 4-6 minute speech on this as well. Got over 100%, like a boss, but that's besides the issue. Basically, just talk about what it is, mention that anything is possible, give a brief description how to do it, and give a couple examples of why you'd want to do it.

I will present it on thursday next week. I am finnished with writing the speech tho, and it turned out good :)

The speech is done, and the ones wh are going to do a speech has practiced it on each other. Everyone were very interested in the subject, and like my speech. Let's hope the audience thinks the same at thursday :)
