Help! Whether It was a lucid dream or a dream being lucid?

My dream started with me in my house and talking to my sister. Then suddenly my sister said something(I don't know what) which made me to ask her whether it was a dream. To this she replied that yes I was dreaming. A feeling that I am unable to explain filled me as I become aware of my dream. Since this was my first lucid dream, I was very excited and I started dancing. Then I calmed myself and tried to fly, as I was in a room I jumped right through the wall of our house into the air and within seconds I was flying in superman style. While I was flying, I woke up(I do not remember whether it was a false awakening or not).

Now I am not clear that whether I dreamt lucidly or it was all just a dream. I never performed a reality check in the whole dream. Please help me decide.

Oh, most definitelly LUCID:) That unexplainable feeling you talking about is a sure clue, that it was an LD. Congratulations. Check out some stabilization techniques in DV Wiki, so can make your dreams longer. Good luck and Happy dreams:)

Gab, thanks for your reply, but I remember reading somewhere that dream figures do not want us to be lucid, then why would a dream figure tell me that I am dreaming. I also do not remember my dream clearly, Is that OK?

Wow, I've had a couple lucid dreams in my life, but they've never started like that.

Honestly, I don't know if I could get over the shock of finding out that I was dreaming when I thought I was awake. My lucid dreams never started out very vivid.

You are aware that you are dreaming. So, it is a lucid dream or not. But you have to do some reality checks.

I have heard that from many people too. But I have also heard, that sometimes they try to help to get you lucid. What we read, are others experiences. It doesn't mean, that it will go the same way for us. Once a DC helped me to stabilize by telling me to look at the ground. As he said that, I realizes that's one stabilization technique. Then this same DC wanted me to do something I knew it will wake me up. How did I know - by reading other people saying that. Have I not read that, I probably would not have woken up. You see what I mean? Our dreams are extremely influenced by what we think. If you think DCs will want you to wake up, that's what they will do. If you tell yoursef "My DCs are nice and will help me get lucid" there is a good chance, it will happen that way. Happy dreams:)

Pretty much what gab said, just ask them, or call out to the dream that you want to enter lucidity and you will. Normal dream characters are too stupid to help much, but some of your more personal dream characters will gladly help. If you have a dream guide they will wait for you to ask if they don't normally show.

My first lucid dream also started with a DC telling me that I was dreaming, So sometimes they do help you become lucid.
