My First Lucid Dream. Your Thoughts on it's meaning?
I had my first lucid dream by total accident. I still don't know how it happened. The only thing I can guess is that the level of detail in the dream gave me a clue. I dreamed I was walking down the street in the neighborhood where I grew up. It was like I was really there. But this isn't what I wanted to talk about.
After having that lucid dream, I picked up a book on lucid dreaming and began to read it. Not long into the book, I came across the WILD technique. I thought it was something that I could do so I tried it that very night. It was 100% successful that night. Of course every attempt after that has failed. Isn't that how it usually works?
Anyway, I want your thoughts on the dream I had. I saw all the things you would expect to see when falling asleep during a WILD. (explosions of colors, shapes in the darkness) as time went on, I started to see more color and then I started to see people. At first, they were dark shapes in the dark. AS time went on, they started to fill with color. Eventually, I don't even know how it happened. I found myself standing in the dark. Darkness all around me. Keep in mind that I was doing all I could to keep my mind clear of all thought. When I became fully lucid, I saw people walking in the distance. They were talking to themselves and looking at me every once in a while. They were just walking by. I feel like they were looking at me like I wasn't suppose to be there. Like they were taking notice of something that didn't belong as they went on their way.
I thought it was really weird. How did these people get into my dream when I am doing all I can do to keep my mine blank. Even in the dream, It never occured to me to walk forward and go talk to these people. The idea of staying still and blank was so strong in my mind that it kept me frozen in place. Do you think some part of my mind just started to wonder and it created these people? It was not in any way shape or form a typical dream for me. My dreams don't usually consist of more than 2 or 3 people. Usually it is just me by myself that I remember. what do you think?
