No sleep paralysis with wild? o:

Well there is this famous guy on youtube (cod community) who's also a lucid dreamer, he added me on skype and this is what we talked about:

[12:14:31 PM] Mac. (Lucid): yes you can man
[12:14:39 PM] Mac. (Lucid): you gotta tell yourself you can
      [12:14:46 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: kk
[12:14:59 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: im gonna try the wake back to bed methode tonight
[12:15:34 PM] Mac. (Lucid): if you read up about it it says you should tell yourself that you will have a conscious dream right before you go to bed
[12:15:44 PM] Mac. (Lucid): like say it out loud to yourself
      [12:15:56 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: okay i'll try that
[12:16:14 PM] Mac. (Lucid): that just gets you in a clearer and more positive mind set
[12:16:33 PM] Mac. (Lucid): then it's good to make sure you have no distractions around you
      [12:16:46 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: alright thanks ^^
[12:16:57 PM] Mac. (Lucid): bright lights, fans, music, cats
      [12:17:03 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: yeah
[12:17:11 PM] Mac. (Lucid): fuck my cats always screws with me when im trying to lucid dream
      [12:17:16 PM] Mac. (Lucid): okay
      [12:17:16 PM] Mac. (Lucid): anyways
[12:17:27 PM] Mac. (Lucid): once you've made sure there's no distractions
      [12:17:33 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: yeah
[12:18:07 PM] Mac. (Lucid): you want to lay in your bed on your back with none of your limbs touching eachother
[12:18:19 PM] Mac. (Lucid): pretty much just laying flat on your back
      [12:18:53 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: okay
[12:19:23 PM] Mac. (Lucid): then you are ready to start trying to dream
[12:19:29 PM] Mac. (Lucid): using binural beats help allot
[12:19:41 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: ok so u can fall asleep with those beats right?
      [12:19:46 PM] Mac. (Lucid): yeah
[12:19:56 PM | Edited 12:20:02 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: because i got a track from binural beats which is about 50 minutes long
[12:20:31 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: if you lay on your back, dont u get sleep paralysis?
[12:20:57 PM] Mac. (Lucid): i don't think so
[12:21:05 PM] Mac. (Lucid): i'm not sure but it doesn't give me that
      [12:21:14 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: ooh ok
[12:21:44 PM] Mac. (Lucid): then what you want to do is basically meditate
[12:22:05 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: and also start visualizing about you entering the dream right?
[12:22:19 PM] Mac. (Lucid): that's not what i do
      [12:22:27 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: :O
[12:22:52 PM] Mac. (Lucid): start by picturing each body part slowly drifting away from your body and becoming one with the earth
[12:23:00 PM] Mac. (Lucid): start at your feet and work your way to your head
      [12:23:12 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: okayy
[12:23:19 PM] Mac. (Lucid): by that time you'll be in a prettty clear headspace
      [12:23:30 PM] Mac. (Lucid): then
[12:24:56 PM] Mac. (Lucid): picture the numbers in front of you (eyes cclosed)while counting up from 1 to 100 and then backwards from 100 to 1 and then backwards once again but instead from 30 to 1
[12:25:06 PM] Mac. (Lucid): you want to picture each individual number
[12:25:20 PM] Mac. (Lucid): right in fron of you
[12:25:24 PM] Mac. (Lucid): and only the numbers
[12:25:31 PM] Mac. (Lucid): and concentrate on them
      [12:25:35 PM] Brent | Crash™ | 5/9 Exams.: alright

And we talked about a lot more, but I always thought when you lay on your back in that position mac mentioned you would get sleep paralysis to enter your dream? How come he doesn't experience it? Just wondering

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

It doesn't matter if you lie on you back or on your side. I get sleep paralysis quite often nowadays, and many times it happens after I wake up in the morning/during a nap and roll over to sleep on my side.

However, sleep paralysis isn't a must in order to WILD. It's just something that might happen right before entering a dream, and not all people experience SP when they WILD.

Wow I didn't know that. I always thought you had to experience sleep paralysis in order to get lucid while attempting Wild.

Your body does enter that state, but sometimes you might not notice it before entering the dream. Your body will still be in paralysis.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

Most people never experience sleep paralysis. It is not as common as you might think. It is a hot topic of conversation because it is such an intense experience, but there are loads of ways to lucid dream without it.
