Fictional locations and lucids?

A few nights ago, I found myself in the ficticious town of Mallabe/Mallaby, England. This almost got me lucid, for the reason that I kept meeting people I know in this town (while I was on vacation, AND I live in Italy), and when asked where we were I could not answer. I don't know why I didn't get lucid, but I had that feeling that I was on the edge of becoming lucid. I found out the town's name by reading it off a sign or something. Which brings me to two questions:

1) What are your experiences on fictional locations in dreams?
2) Does this help you achieve lucidity?

By fictional I mean a non-existant town, not your dream version of an already existing place.

The vast majority of my dreams happen in fictional places. Most recently I had a dream that took place on some strange floating platform surrounded by clouds. I've also had a few dreams in this one underground town which I don't believe exists in reality but I never found out a name to go with it. The locations themselves don't really get me lucid, it's usually an odd occurrence in the dream or just randomly becoming lucid.

I have a lot of fictional locations in my dreams. However I am not sure if they exist in this world, they aren't any extraordinary, maybe they are just places I don't remember consciously. However my LDs take place in known locations usually.

The only places I dream of, apart from my current residence, are fictional. Some are realistic, some ore fantastical, and neither situation is better for lucids with me. I've even made maps of some of them (and they make sense geographically). Perhaps if I ever returned to one of the locations, then I might go lucid. I'm fairly sure I nearly reached lucidity last time I was in a recurring dreamplace.

1.) I dream of a bunch of fictional places, especially Hogwarts or Fablehaven. About 80% of my dreams take place in fictional places.
2.) I don't thik it really helps me too much. Unless the place is really weird, I might notice and get lucid.

I were at many fictional places, but i rarely get to know their names.

The one i remember though is from a regular dream where i was on a mountain that was called "Barbarous Iron, The Itan"... i was checking a map and it read that as it's name, lol.
