      Sleep stages questions

Hi, I'm new here Can someone give me a list of how long every single stage is?
For example: NREM1: 2 minutes NREM2: 5 minutes and so on..
And one more question: When is the best time to wake up for a wbtb attempt? Before or during REM?

You can read a lot of this information right off of Wikipedia.

Sleep - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It will be easier to read on their page then for me to explain it all or copy the info.

As for a WBTB attempt you should try it after several hours of sleep.

If you sleep 7 to 8 hours you might try it between 5 and 6-1/2 hours. This is also a good time to try MILD or WILD.

The attempt for WBTB begins before a period of REM sleep. Once you're in REM sleep it's too late to start the attempt. In REM you should be dreaming and hopefully you will recognize a dream sign that spwans a lucid dream.

Hope that helps. Feel free to send me a private message if you have additional questions.

If you write the time down when you have your dreams in your dream journal, you should start to notice a pattern of when you'll have your dreams. Of course, it depends on how regular your sleep is, and how regularly you go to bed at the same time, and so forth.
The dreams should become longer, the later in the night the dream is.
