How to Remain Lucid?
Hello everyone,
I have tried to lucid dream several times in the past but have lost my focus on getting to my goal. However I am wanting to try again in my lucid dreaming and astral projection attempts. I am curious how you can remain lucid in a dream. Several times before I have noticed that I was dreaming however within seconds my dream just continued on as normal for some reason I do not do anything after realizing that I am dreaming. I was wondering if I could get some advice about how to remain lucid in a dream. Thanks ahead of time for everyone's help!

Once you become lucid, don't go along with the plot of the dream- do something else. And of course, try to keep in your mind the fact that you are dreaming. Stabilization also seems to help.

Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
This tutorial details information on how to stabilize a lucid dream and remain in it longer.
Let us know how it works for you! :)

-Stop what you're doing once you become lucid and stabilize immediately. How you do this is up to you.
-Don't do anything crazy when you're just starting out. Flying/fighting is a good thing to do when beginning, but riding a meteor into the earth is not ;)
-Always remind yourself that this is a dream. This helps with not only dream length but also dream control.
-Stabilize after a major scene change
-Spin once you feel the dream ending. Keep spinning until the dream either stops fading or you're laying in your bed.
-Practice. The more LDs you have the longer they will last.
If you wake up you may want to try for a DEILD. They take a little bit of practice but once you get them you can start chaining dreams together and have many LDs in one night. Or just write down the dream if it was really awesome/you don't want to risk forgetting.
