First LD has "killed" my dream recall

Basically, had my first lucid dream earlier this month, amazing experience.

However ever since then, my ability to dream recall has regressed to how it was maybe over a month ago. Before my first lucid dream I was able to recall, I'd say 3/4 dreams a night, and usually two of those in great detail. However since the lucid dream I'm back to hazy memories of dreams and lucky if I can describe even one in detail.

Seems like I'm going to have to start all over again to achieve lucidity again

      Anyone got any ideas?

I've heard this happen before, don't worry. It's completely natural and you just need to stay positive. Every night just go through your normal routine and tell yourself that you *will* get a lucid.

I wish you the best of luck. :3
      Happy dreaming.

This happens to me actually. I tend to go through periods of having multiple lucids, and then suddenly my dream recall goes down the drain for a little while and I have to build it back up again.

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.

No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.

Don't worry, that's the worst thing you can do. Just keep trucking along, go about your usual business and you'll be back on track in no time. And don't think that just because you had a lucid means that you can slack off. I made that mistake and it took a while to get my next one. In fact, work even harder than you were before.

Only took a few days but my dream recall is starting to return. Could recall 4 dreams last night, 2 in a lot of detail. Hopefully means my next lucid is just round the corner!

So if this happens to anyone else, don't worry, the last poster basically nailed it; Don't panic, concentrate on the basics again and it'll start to come back.
