Masturbation and lucid dreams?

So I have had 3 lucid dreams. The first one I don't remember how I attained lucidity. The second one, I somehow remembered dot do a reality check by looking at my fingers. The third one, I don't remember attaining lucidity. A couple hours before the 2nd and 3rd one, I masturbated. I tried to get a lucid dream last night without wankin it but I couldn't. So, does masturbation have anything to do with it? I'm a male if it makes any difference.

Oh one more thing... Lucid dreams are in your last period of sleep right? Cuz wheni woke up from mine, it was time time to get up.

Possible maybe? I would say that a good FAP would relax you straight after. So it seems the joke about the male falling asleep after sex seems true after all! :D
(I recently tried it (as an experiment) during a WBTB where I had a DILD later that morning as well. I'm not saying that it would work 100 pc though, as your body gets accustomed to things.)
Yes, you are right. LD's are more likely early morning because for one reason the REM periods are longer, with fewer gaps.

Personally I think it has no effect (yes speaking from experience) I have seen a thread previously though about someone not doing it for about a week and that gave them a few lucids. So I have no idea it seems either way may work :)

Lucid dreams aren't only in the last part of sleep.

During sleep, your brainwaves vary, in a wave like pattern, drifting from REM to NREM and back again a few times per night. Every 2 hours or so, I believe it is. You wake up after dreams all the time, you just may not realize or be aware of it at the moment. You can train yourself to wake up properly after every dream to help you remember them using Autosuggestion.

This is when you tell your subconscious something you want it to do repeatedly to try and get the message to sink in for instance, "I will wake up after every dream I have and remember it."

Repeat this kind of phrase as you go to sleep.


As for the masturbation part of your question, the couple of times it's worked may be coincidence, but it may be helping. Only one way to find out really... Keep testing!
