Is Lucid dreaming a special thing for people to obtain?
Can all people do it? I've been able to do it for as long as I remember. I am 19 now, and have complete control over my lucid dreams when I become lucid. I feel like it lasts hours without waking. This of course built up, but I did this as a child.
I ask this as I had a rather intense lucid dream last night that made me question a lot of things I am doing in my waking life, and happened to stumble upon this site whilst googling.
I do not always become lucid, but when I do (every one or two weeks) I have dreams that are so real and intense that when I wake all I can think about is the dream. I seem to have some kind of strange respect in this dream world though, i've tried spawning random objects, and changing things at my will, which I can always seem to do, but it seems to ruin the meaning and plot of certain dreams. I much prefer to remain lucid and keep things going as I would in real life, to see what happens and learn from these experiences.
I've talked to maybe one other person who says they lucid dream, but whom doesn't seem to the extent I do. I just wondered if this is a gift i've until now taken for advantage.
One last thing, I get a pure craving for lucid dreaming. I get it sometimes midday, really wanting a lucid dream that night. Is this a healthy thought?
I read about dream spinning on this forum, and it sounds like an interesting concept I shall try next time I go lucid.
Thankyou for your time x
