      Angry Very very frustrating...

Okay, so this is what happened. Basically, I wanted to try out the WBTB + WILD method (I know, a bit advanced for a beginner but I've gotten close before.)so, last night I took some melatonin (I heard it increases vividness of dreams, and in some people, helped them achieve lucidity) and went to bed at 10:41 PM (22:41). Knowing me, I probably fell asleep around 11:00 PM (23:00). I woke up around 4:00 AM... so that means I got around... 5 hours of sleep (perfect for the WBTB +Wild). So after I woke up, I got out of bed, and went on my laptop to reveiw the wild technique a few times (wanted to make sure I had it down pat.) This took about half-an-hour. After I was doing this, I felt pretty tired again (like I was about to crash right at the computer) so I went back to bed. I layed still in my bed for an hour, counting my breaths, keeping my mind blank as possible, not moving a single muscle. Nothing happened. This resulted with me going back onto the computer, and posting this. All I really need is some tips on... ya know... making your body go to sleep. Thanks :3

I've tried WILD before and the closest I came was getting into SP but then getting freaked out by a flying pillow hallucination , as for the going to sleep, I find that just focus on dreaming and what you want to do in your dream helps, just relax and focus on that and try not to think about going to sleep, just on dreaming. Hope this helps

Sitting in front of the computer or a TV on a WBTB can complicate things, but it can be ok if you turn the brightness on the screen down.
But instead of torturing your body and mind like this (I know how it is I used to lay like this for about 2 hours at the most) because you really need to time the REM. I would suggest that after you feel that your body is relaxed start visualizing so the dreaming process starts and the wandering mind kicks in, and with some more knowledge of your wandering mind sensations it will will be easier to transition. But if you keep doing the lay still until something happens technique you really need to time it right.

Good luck. What you are doing can work, but it is really hard to stop focusing on the physical body and therefore you stay in the physical focus.

Hmmm... I'll make sure I'll try what you guys said... but would using theta binaural beats help in anyway? (I'm don't know much about binaural bears, all I know theta ones are said to help with lucid dreaming.)

Also, make sure that you are comfortable, man. This point is very often overlooked, but if you aren't comfortable, the process can become a lot harder. Take some time to find a really comfortable position, which is an easy thing to disregard if you have the mentality of laying down and dutifully making sure your body doesn't move at all and if a million points regarding WILDing are flying through your head. Relax and get comfortable. It may greatly increase your chances of having a WILD.

Visualize as you are attempting to fall asleep.... preferably something relaxing.

Binaural bears Hehe well I first wanted to say that binaural beats doesn't work, but all my attempt with the Gateway Experience that I do every night has binaural beats, they call it Hemi-Sync though so I guess it does help in some extent.

Here is a video explaining Binaural beats -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1govFgC5chk

Why not try the easy variant of the WILD technique which is commonly known as DEILD. The summarize it up you wake up and you don't move. This makes your body fall asleep A LOT faster than just doing the regular WILD. Check out dutchraptors guide of the technique here.

Hey there LucidBrony! Have you checked out this post yet? http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/mind-a...1/index54.html

If not, certainly give it a go! Sure helped me before. There are also links in there which can direct you to other things such as FAQs or Other WILD tutorials. Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
