Sleep paralysis...
I want to try the DIELD technique but after reading all the stories about sleep paralysis (like demons leaning over you and not being able to move a muscle) I don't want to experience that soooo... Is there any way to avoid that part? Another part of me does want to experice SP because I love scary stuff it's just the not being able to move part thats freaking me out. Can anyone help me ^_^

I don't think you can. If it happens it happens.

Most scary stories about sleep paralysis actually occur during old hag syndrome, or when you wake up to sleep paralysis. While doing a DEILD, in my opinion, it is MUCH less frightening, as you can feel it start and know what to expect. You should also keep your eyes closed(unlike people during old hag), so whatever scary thing you may or may not encounter will be trapped behind your eyelids, and you'll know they aren't there in real life :)

Dreams are generally easy to start through sp, especially with DEILD, all you have to do is use your imagination, especially your sense of touch, you could start by feeling yourself walking around, and soon enough you will feel like you can begin to walk using physical signals.
I have never had SP well DEILDing to be honest, well very weak paralysis that was easy to break out of. The scary SP sessions seem to happen by accident with me, which means I'll be trying to get to sleep and for some reason my body starts to enter SP, usually I actually get up before I get fully paralyzed because it makes me uncomfortable.

I have had more boring SP experiences than frightening ones. In all honesty it is not that scary and I'm a pansy.

Fear of sleep paralysis is quite common among beginners. At first I was really scared too. My first induced SP ended up with really scary stuff like I could hear banging on my walls, chains being dragged on the floor, people whispering in my ear, etc. It may take some time to adjust, but you really just have to realize that it's all a projection of your imagination. Whatever you think you will see or hear or feel, it will happen.
Most times now, when I find myself in SP and hear the creepy sounds, I try to turn them into more pleasant ones. When I hear banging noises, I imagine them turning into beatbox sounds. When I hear someone talking in my ear, I imagine his voice turning into Morgan Freeman or something. LOL.
The not being able to move part can be quite uncomfortable at times, because we are used to controlling our bodies, so being paralyzed can completely throw us off. Remember that it is normal. We all get REM Atonia (body shutting down when we sleep so we don't act out our dreams), and in sleep paralysis, we are merely awake to notice it. Moreover, just think how surreal and exciting it can be to experience something you wouldn't normally notice! I think it really is something you have to go through multiple times to really understand. I hope you give yourself the chance to do just that. Who knows? You could end up loving it! :D
Oh, and some people don't even notice SP. The intensity of the sensations and hallucinations vary from person to person, so it can be a totally different experience for you ;)
