making the "POP"

last night i Tried becoming Lucid. I Fell asleep at 1:50am and my alarm woke me up at 5:50am. I laid on my back and hit SP my limbs had trouble moveing yet they had random jerks.so, i cncluded that was stage 2 of NREM. the problem is that i was being very very vivid in my minds eye, with sounds, smells and touch. but the "pop" never came:( and i never became lucid. so i roll over to my side and tried again, achieved SP but no pop. then i rolled to my other side. no good. maybe i need to change times?

What exactly do you mean by "pop"? Are you talking about when you end up in the dream and can start to move around/continue the dream?

Yes I had the same problem as well except my sp wasn't so much not being able to move but if I resisted the twitches, I got a weird shock feeling. This is the closest I've gotten to the physical part but I've gotten closer to the HI. I want to know why i can't/ what I can do to combine the two

Try not only focusing on the surroundings but also on yourself and what you're doing in the surroundings. Say you were visualizing yourself on a beach. You want to be sure you're picturing the sights, the smell of the ocean, sound of the waves, etc. But also think about what you're doing. Are you sitting on the sand watching the waves? Are you walking along the edge of the ocean as the waves are crashing against your feet? If you practice All Day Awareness (ADA) or Sporadic Awareness Technique (SAT) then the focusing on your surroundings will become much easier and you can put more attention into yourself. If you only focus on the scenery then your body will never transfer and you'll be sitting there looking at all those beautiful landscapes you created but can't explore.

For me, I have always just let a dream scene come to me. That was what was easiest at first. (Now I create my own dreams while WILDing). If you are just starting I suggest just letting a scene slowly create itself to save yourself the focus and effort. Once you begin to see if come together you can incorporate each sense one by one. It truly depends on the dream and person, sometimes I'm just thrown into the dream in full control and lucidity and other times I have to work into it.
