      Lucid dreamer's club at college

I want to start a lucid dreaming club at my college! It would be great to find other lucid dreamers and talk about our experiences. Some activities I have been thinking of for us to do would be
      Discussing our dreams
Talking about different ways to lucid dream
Reading and discussing books on dreaming
      Inception and Paprika movie night!
Fund-raise for a nova dreamer or other similar device for the club to loan out to members

do you have any other ideas? Thanks!

Creating some sort of friendly competition is always good for inspiring people to work harder for their LD's. Similar to the task clubs that are about here. The nova dreamer idea is really cool.

You should also have activities like, Folk lore of Lucid Dreaming, debates on shared dreaming, AP etc.
Tips and hints on how to write in your DJ to increase recall (such as writing in present tense).
Theory discussion - where everyone comes up with a creative theory about LD'ing or something you can try during an LD and then tries to prove/dis-prove it.

Basically anything that gets people actively involved, but this is a great idea man, I wish I had this at college

If you were at my college I would definitely join.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

Thats pretty cool, in Ireland if you set up a club which has more than 20 members everything is funded by the college, you get a certain amount of money for each person. Is it the same in the USA?

Certain colleges (most, I think) have a system where if you get a set amount of students (I've heard anywhere from 6-20) and a professor's signature then you can start a club and you'll get a small stipend each semester. At one of the local universities here some kids made a grilling club where this guy and 5 of his friends as well as a professor said they wanted to start a new club, presented their idea and the school gave them $300 each semester. They decided to buy a grill with it, go figure .

Anyway, I think a LDing club sounds awesome and I would definitely join one should the college I pick have one (senior in HS). Just a place to share experiences, motivate each other, and have some friendly competition is a great way to advance in the.... hobby? I don't know what lucid dreaming is classified as .

EDIT: Also, don't forget Waking Life for movies.

Sounds like a really fun idea! If there isn't already a lucid dreaming club when I go to college, I am definitely making one.

Nito gave some great ideas, especially the competition idea. I think that would be great. You should also add Waking Life to your lucid movie list. Spirited Away is also a great movie that reminds me of lucid dreaming, but I don't know how many would agree.

Please let us know how the club goes and how many people are interested. Good luck!
