does anybody experience faulty logic in DILDS more so that WILDS?

it seems when you become lucid in a non lucid dream, not all of you is there yet. Part of your dream self and dream logic is still present with you. In DILDs it's like you go from non lucid, to a low level lucidity, then to a semi lucid state and beyond while it's the complete opposite in WILDS where you go into the dream YOU, then start losing yourself in the dream. Have you ever wanted to take something from your lucid dream back with you into your waking life, or have you ever found out you were dreaming but didn't even care? People say your either lucid or your not but many times I've noticed a lot of faulty logic in DILDs. when you first become lucid in a dream, not all of you is awake yet, it plays off more from your memory and idea of lucid dreams than your actual self realizing he's in a dream. You don't start feeling like your waking self until later it seems.

For the most part I agree. Many WILDs start with me very clear headed and then I have to fight to keep it, as where many DILDs start with me foggy and stupid, and I must fight to gain clear headedness. The end result seems to be the same if I can maintain lucidity for a few minutees.

Exactly how i feel. That's why I am sometimes confused whether I really got lucid, got lucid but not really there, or just dreamt about being lucid.

yeah ,they always said that dreams work better off of memory than thinking which is why it's important to set your goals before falling asleep. just today I had a WILD and I went into the dream and tripped, I said I would count everything on my hands to see if I remember everything I do and I forgot to do that later in the lucid dream. By the end of the dream my conscience completly took over and I started believing everything DC were saying. The thing is though that I was still going through the motions of what I would do in a lucid dream like completing my goals but it was only by memory. I had lost the true implication of what I was doing.

in WILDS your logic does not take a brake from waking life. There is no lapse in consciousness. While in DIDLS you 'forcefully' wake up the logical side of your brain to help you cope with control(reality checks). I have yet to experience a WILD :) would love too...as the start of my DILDS is very confusing and emotionally filled (I don't remember my goals, I just know I'm dreaming and I am in control, but I soon wake up) If you keep experiencing either type of LDs you will soon get better at controlling them :)

I think the best way for me to gain a good level of lucidity from a DILD is by luckily waking up and re-entering my dream world via a DEILD or when I simply start from a FA. It looks like, it's still a problem for me, to overcome the dream logic with consciousness if I stay in the DILD-I think it could be because of the dream plot itself. I don't clearly know how to gain a high level of lucidity from a DILD without waking up.

Edit: Perhaps a DILD which starts from a nightmare could be one of the few ways for me to gain full lucidity without first waking up because of usually I stop following the dream plot in the first place. Otherwise I tend to be absorbed by the action inside the dream when it's interesting for me.

I DILD and usually am fully aware. Maybe 5% of the time I am somewhat 'dopey' in my DILDs but not usually. So I think it differs. I am hazy before realization. But it is almost always ME there if you know what I mean.

well I guess you have to wait before you have a WILD before you can talk about it. anyways I already know that and I already said that you go into the dream YOU during a WILD, meaning you go into the dream clear headed. what I was saying was after you enter a WILD, you in most cases tend to lose yourself in the dream. you become less clear headed as the WILD continues unless you constantly reasure yourself it's a dream. You have to experience it first but my whole point was that WILDS are like the opposite of DILDS where you lose yourself in a dream while in DILDS you have to GAIN yourself.

same with me but recently I've noticed a lot of faulty logic in my DILDs. usually they feel like me but then I wake up realizing that I wanted to take something with me from the dream into waking life. I've also noticed some DILDs where I didn't even care. DC in DILDS also tend to be a lot smarter that DC in WILDS in my experience. when DC start sprouting out ideas of their own, thats usually a sign that my subconscious is starting to take over in WILDS.

I know what you mean. Yes, sometimes my DILD's are lucid, but not so much. I don't really class those as being lucid, though, because like you say it's more about memories than being completely conscious.

Do I want to bring stuff back with me? Of course, lots of things, but I'm happy knowing they are always there when I go to sleep.

And yes, sometimes I don't care about coming fully lucid. If I'm having an amazing dream I like to play along with it while quietly knowing it's a dream. Usually if it involves a cool storyline or a beautiful woman lol.

we call that semi-lucidity, their are 5 layers, layer zero MAJOR through layer 2 MAJOR is where the low lucidity levels lie. you don't start feeling like your waking self until layer 3 MINOR.

Yeah. When you WILD you are awake from the time your laying in bed until you are in the dream. You have more time to stay aware and you know what is happening.

When you DILD you suddenly realize you are dreaming and you need to take a moment to get your thoughts organized. It's can be easy to slip out of awareness and dream logic can take over.

That's why stabilization is an important step when lucid dreaming. Especially when you DILD. :)

yeah, I usually forget to stabilize or RC in my WILDs so they end up becoming regular dreams after awhile.
