OBE WILD??
Please help me on this, can anybody else relate to my experience?
Firstly I was planning on doing the WBTB method, but then i decided that I'd do WILD instead. I'd gone back to sleep after the hour awake then awoken again, I was awake with my eyes shut and I saw an infinitly detailed flying robot (HI). I decided to relax and literally about 5 seconds later i heard the rushing blood and the vibrations kicked in. Then they stopped completely, taken over by illogical voices outside my room, then all sound stopped and the vibrations kicked in again.
I was thinking "ah here we go, WILD" but then the weirdest thing happened: I sank through the matress, i left my body completely but i felt the matress parting for me, i knew i was hovering right under my bed. Then i came back up through it and hovered above. Then my top half of my body seemed to gain weight so i hovered on a diagonal angle. It was as if an invisible force was dragging me around, it dragged me by my ankles down the bed about 1 whole meter , then it stopped. Then that unnaturally deep voice off mortal kombat (the one that says "FIGHT!") said "you have failed WILD".
I got out of bed to find myself dreaming. I'm normally good at lucids and can stay for about 5 minutes but this one only lasted about 20 seconds. I stabilized the dream and everything..
All in all, Iit was quite an experience! My first attempt at WILD too!
-Why was it short?
-What's with all the creepy floating around?
-does anyone else float about? If so, what am I meant to do?
-How long should I float?
Sorry bout the long post, Thanks for all help.

Thats kinda what happened to me during my first WILD, I ended up floating out of bed and I guess began an OBE but too quickly I woke up. And its happened a few times since then but rarely. Now when I WILD i just imagine scenes and im able to transition them from thoughts to dreams. But I think lots of ppl end up having OBEs while trying to LD so i say just go with whatever happens.
cool avatar btw...kinda

thanks :) and yeah I'll just go with the flow

wow thats cool man. does anyone even know if OBEs are real or just in our minds? i mean if you just wake up from an obe wouldnt that mean its not real. like ud think u would have to drift back into your body again for it to be real.
now that i think about it my first spontanious lucid ended with me floating back into my body into SP....hmmmm obe?
i would rather be in an LD than OBE. i mean who wants to get fucked up by spirits or something.

yeah Im not sure about OBEs totally being much different than a dream with certain rules or something. Not too convinced about the astral plane and all but there's gotta be something to it, everyone having the same experience and everything.
Though that first experience I was talking about I did only drift up a few feet, look at myself on the couch and took in my surroundings and actually did return to my body before waking.

I remember feeling myself or my 'spirit thing' leaving my body behind and merging through the blankets and matress and my body. I felt it as if it was real. It was very vivid. Much like the 'hand through palm' trick where you feel all the muscles and bones as you push on through. But I also heard the springs in the matress squeaking as it released my 'spirit' as if it had weight or mass or something, now thats weird!

yeah i mean OBE could be possible but the mind can make us believe it real too.
what someone needs to do is have a playing card or something that someone can see and confirm it later to be an obe. something that proves its not a creation of the mind. someone commented on that before i believe
