      Auditory Hallucinations of The Night

      Hey all!

Last night was a mess. I kept waking up, one time after the other, wondering when I was ACTUALLY going to get back to sleep. I soon became so frustrated that I lay in bed with my face in my pillow on my stomach and all of my covers on me NOT MOVING. I started to relax, and then I had one of those mini dreams you have on the verge of sleep (what are those called?). Anyway, in the dream, I was walking with my mom, feeling guilty about something. We came across my band teacher and his family and talked for a bit. Since this was not a full dream and part of my conscious self thought I was imagining, I jumped up and floated in the air. This is when it went haywire.
RIGHT as I imagined I was flying, I was shot back into full consciousness, but not the full world. It was black. My hearing immediately started to dissipate, and the auditory hallucinations kicked in like nobody's business. First, the low rumbling in my ears grew to where I could CLEARLY hear it without having to cover both of my ears. However, the pressure as it I WAS holding my ears was still there. I also heard all kinds of assorted noises, too many to recall and name fully. In addition, my entire head felt some odd type of pressure. Strangely enough, my butt muscles felt as if they were tensing up. When all of this was going on, I realized I must be in a sleep paralysis/ auditory hallucination type of state! I tried to get back in touch with the real world by moving, but realized that I was FAR too relaxed to move much at all. In fact, trying to escape actually shot me farther into the hallucinations and pressure. I felt my body moving from side to side even though I was laying still, and knew I must be in some kind of SP. I did not focus on it, because doing that dragged me yet further into the rabbit hole. The hallucinations would continue to turn on and off, depended what I focused on. Eventually, I returned to the real world, as you can see, but I was SUPER SCARED.

I think this whole sleep paralysis thing is cool, but it was so scary I just wanted to drop out. The pressure was also pretty intense, and I was worried about my body. Can someone help me out with this?

Sounds like you are describing classic symptoms of energy body/dream body generation associated with a WILD (wake induced lucid dream). These can be quite intense and confusing at first, if you keep up your training and research you will have more of these experiences and they will become expected and normal. I think the fact it was so new and confusing to you exhaserbated the instability of the feelings and phenomena.. It will begin to feel more stable and controllable through practice and experience.

Also SP is nothing to be feared despite its emotive sounding name, it's a positive sign that your consciousness is integrated with your dream body which is the state that so many people on this forum are striving for - to then enter a lucid dream from that point!
Well done, keep up your work and relax - you're doing great.
