Do you think you could use lucid dreaming to improve your lateral thinking skills? A lot of time time I fear that I look at the world in just one-dimensionally. Would this help me look at problems in unusual and creative ways? :) :)
Absolutely! One of the top reasons people take the time to lucid dream is for lateral thinking. It allowed them to solve problems in their life in creative and unique ways.
Friedrich Kekule's discovery of the structure of the benzene molecule, Otto Loewi's experiment on nerve impulses and Elias Howe's invention of the sewing machine all were inspired by dreams. Many famous scientists and inventors have used lucid dreaming to help solve their problems and create new things.
Alice in Wonderland, Frankenstein, and a song by Paul McCartney all were created because of a lucid dream. :)
