How do you compare the feelings of a lucid dream?

So i was trying to explain to my friend the feeling you get.
      - Not like a roller coaster
      - Not like skydiving
      - Not like a first kiss.
      - Not like a random date
      - Not like landed a 50$/hr job.

      - Similar to christmas eve when you are 6 years old, just alot more extreme?

Anyone have a good way to explain the feeling you get, mainly that FIRST moment you become lucid and instantly wake up?

Usually, it is just raw surprise and excitement. The Christmas analogy is good, though I wouldn't say lucid dreams are MORE extreme (even lucid dreaming can't touch on a 6-year old's excitement for Christmas! ), though I wouldn't say it's Christmas EVE, but rather Christmas DAY. That feeling of seemingly infinite potential is hard to beat, and it's certainly something you want to experience for yourself.

Along with this surprise and excitement, I also feel thankful for being able to be able to be in a lucid dream, and I get a feeling of open-mindedness similar to how you feel walking out of the theater from an eye-opening movie. You just observe the world in so much more detail in a lucid dream, and you're both humbled and impressed by your brain's abilities.

When awareness washes over me, I feel such a feeling of accomplishment, like when to get an A on a test, and then from that point I feel so calm and peaceful, not tired, but what I imagine being high to be like. Its a rush for me too, but not as much as an experienced LDer might say, just because I have little control and mostly just try out techniques and strategies that I've read.
      Lucid Goals

      Short term
convince a dc they're in a dream, get high, go swimming

      Long Term
have a deild, continue a relationship, stop time

That is a good way to put it; for me though it feels MORE than that....

I like the christmas analogy because thats exactly how it feels for me only, it's not cristmass eve but during the day of cristmas when I was young and would wake up to that soothing christmass music with the lights on at the top of the stairs, knowing that I have a shit load of presents to open up down stairs. thats the exact feeling I would get when I enter a lucid dream (WILDs specificaly since I don't get many DILDs and the dilds I did get, I don't remember getting all that excited over)
