I have a question for the group.
I learned LD many years ago but have serious issues with it. I finally decided to find a forum and ask for advice.
I wake up after a night of LD, and the whole world's fuzzy.
I have trouble at first telling if I'm really awake, or at least trouble relating to the World As We Know It.
Coming back to normal consciousness after waking takes almost two hours. The sensation is really unpleasant, like taking too much melatonin, a drug I haven't used in years.
I've had some successes learning control, but the afteraffects are really uncomfortable so I've been suppressing LD just to function during the day.
When I tried to push through the fuzziness, the sensation got stronger day after day.
Eventually I ended up in what I've heard called "The Witness", where you end up as an observer in your own life, waking or asleep.
If it wasn't so uncomfortable, I suppose it would be okay. Certainly it promotes a detached viewpoint anyway.
So, has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?
Some info: I have Sleep Apnea, a sleep disorder that held me back for years before I got a CPAP machine.
I suppose that could have something to do with it.
Is fatigue after LD normal? Avoidable?
