Dreaming about girl I don't know

Last night I dreamt of this great girl but the dream was all weird. The girl was the girlfriend of my friend although my friend does not have a girlfriend in real life. I confirmed this fact yesterday afternoon. What was weird was that I had this instant connection with her although I have never met her before and she was everything I envisioned my perfect girlfriend to be. I even remember that her name was unique and starts with an A but have since forgotten it. Could someone please help me interpret this dream? What does this all mean?

The only one who can figure out what this means is YOU. I usually don't interpret dreams but I guess strangers in dreams can be anything from a representive of your inner self to a part of your mind that want to give you an advice. Think of your lifesituation right now and see if you can associate any event or feelings to this girl. According to Freud we dream about things that our conscious mind suppress.

But how does my mind just envision a completely new face and come up with a completely new and unheard of name? In addition, the entire experience felt so lifelike with all my senses stimulated. I still can remember her warm caress

Your mind can create about anything. I have strangers in my dreams all the time. I had one in a non-lucid last night.

I don't think it's fully created, you always see people in street, school, movies, everywhere which your subconscious spot them. Then a random "appearance" of a person is in ur dream but about the "personality", I do agree 10000% with what MasterMind said.
